So last night I said that I have our next trip to the polynesian all planned out. He says "I want to try somewhere new". :(

We have only stayed onsite once and it was only two nights at the poly so I am looking forward to going back!!

Should I try to appease him and do a split stay? He suggested offsite (gasp) for half but I pushed for onsite and he agreed. He was just stirring the pot :)

We really like the convenience of the monorail and I considered a garden wing at the CR but am not sold on it yet.

Any suggestions???

Maybe try one of the Epcot Resorts and try the convenience they offer for Epcot and HS.

I'm the planner in our family and DW's the free spirit. But there are still certain details we discuss and reach agreement on together, and resort is one of those things. If I'd picked a hotel and she said "let's try something different," we'd be trying something different. Maybe she has me well-trained after all these years. ;)

We have two days planned at MK and the mnsshp so I really would like to be in the MK resorts. I have no interest in wilderness lodge so that leaves GF or CR or a split stay.

Suggestions?

Smart man you are :)

He is pretty easy going and said we can stay poly if that's what me and the kids want but I would like to make him happy too :)

We LOVE MK so will spend lots of time there so would like to be in a MK resort and with having a stroller still the monorail will b super convenient!

Debating between CR and WL (which doesn't interest me at all) .?.?

As you know, I can't comment on the CR as we haven't stayed there, but we did love the GF :goodvibes. The resort is beautiful and is just 1 monorail stop from MK (although it does take a little longer get back from MK). Plus DVC will be completed by your trip, so there won't be any construction going on. We are staying at the CR in December as we like to try different resorts, but if I had a choice between the CR and GF and hadn't yet stayed at either one, I'd go with the GF for the theme/decor (but that's just ME ;)). Both the GF and CR are great resorts for being convenient to MK, so I would choose the one that the theme/decor appeals to you the most. Good luck deciding, but I know you'll have a great trip no matter which resort you choose :wizard:.

It would spend on how many days you are there. For me, anything under 10 days I'm not doing a split stay. It will be a lot of work for you to pack up yourself and the kids to move, then get settled in new resort. But that's me.

We did a GF/Poly split stay accidentally once---flights changed, we had cut our our pre-Disney trip to Sanibel and just arrive early at MCO. GF had no available rooms. It was really fun and easy. Disney transferred all of our luggage for us and the resorts were so close that it was no problem. I am a huge GF fan. It is a beautiful resort and the theming is so different from the Poly that you may enjoy the contrast. I say let DH have his way. After all, you want the trip to have pleasant associations for him that lead to his wanting to return to WDW frequently.
