DH Thanked Me for DVC

So DH and I bought our first DVC contract in 2004 and have added on a couple of times since then. We now have enough points for at minimum 8 nights a year in a one bedroom. DH has always joked about how I and our DVC rep talked him into it, though he loves our vacations and the memories we have made.

Well this past November, after 12 years of marriage we had our first child, our amazing little daughter. DH and I were talking about scheduling her first Disney trip this upcoming September, and he asked if we would be able to afford the trip as daycare is super pricey. I responded, "of course, it won't be that much as we have our DVC for lodging." When I said that he said "thank you for talking me into it all of those years ago, I can't wait to make memories with DD there." I'll admit it, I teared up a little. DVC is one of the best decisions we ever made and I can't wait to share it with our little girl.

That's wonderful, Hollymom1229. The best parts of life IMO are experiences and times spent with loved ones. THose times surely do not have to be pricey or extravagant, but I would take a million dollars for the wonderful times my brood and I spent at OKW as they grew up. It still feels like home when we pull into OKW. I feel very blessed. Sounds like you do too. Have a wonderful trip with that little princess!!

Totally get it. I was the one researching and pushing DVC. DH sent me a text the other day with the number of days until our trip and saying how he couldn't wait. Put a huge smile on my face.
