DH OK'd Add-on...BUT....

We toured DVC on 2001 trip, bought on 2002 trip, added on during 2003 trip. All points are at BCV. DH "thinks" he had a great idea the other day about adding on during 2004 trip (I won't say where he really got the idea, but I think that tape recorder playing the subliminal messages all night long really worked ) The only problem is that he will only buy from Disney and ONLY at BCV. (Buy where you want to stay)

I know BC is sold out, but is there a waitlist I can get on? Can I guarantee the same use year as the previous purchase? Has anyone had any experience with this and can share some insight?

Yes, DVC has waitlists and will put you on one for your use year. Your guide should be able to give you the info on how long it could be. We did an add-on at VWL after it was sold out. We didn't have to wait. DVC had exercised enough ROFRs that they had what we wanted in our UY.

Depending on how many points you have purchased at BCV, you might consider purchasing points somewhere else to have another 11-month advantage, unless you don't ever want to stay anywhere else.

We did a BCV points purchase through Disney just last month. We only sat on the waiting list for a week. If you're trying to match up to an existing use year you might have to wait longer, and perhaps we just got lucky, but don't despair. If your DH insists on going through Disney, it'll work out. (I had the same issues, by the way, with my DW...)
