Free dining, maybe, if you're flexible with your dates and resort.

Chances of getting prime ADRs, slim to none.

There was availability at several places earlier today. There should be something, just depends on where you want to stay and what dates you are looking for. Remember that you only have to start your trip by September 22 and you will still receive free dining for the length of your reservation.

Last year, I called on the last day of the free dining offer (June 24, I think). I was able to get POR for the first week of September with free dining. Good Luck. Let us know how it goes.

Yes, I just canceled my trip in September at the CBR - Sept. 16-22.

Decided to go in mid-November when it's cooler and the X-mas decorations are starting to be put up.

I just did a little bit of checking and it is possible to get just about anything you want if you are flexible. . .value, moderate or deluxe. Not all hotels are available for every date. Interestingly enough, if you start your trip on the 22nd of September, nearly all your hotels have availability. . .

When I check on-line, the only hotels offered are Saratoga Springs, Fort Wilderness and sometimes OKW. I have called every morning and nothing. If I extend my trip by a few days, POFQ and POR will come up. However, the minute I put in my real check out date, the moderates disappear. I don't get it. The moderate room is there and available for Free Dining, just not for the four days I need at the end of August. I want to spend more money and they won't let me.

I have read people who booked extra day to get the resort they wanted then cancelled the days they didn't want a few days later.

I think they hold back ADR's for some last minutes bookings. In Dec staying at BWV the night before called dining to get in Cape May on the next day and I was told nothing at all. In the Morning on leaving the hotel, checked at desk and they got me in Cape May at 5:45pm.

As Cupmom's said above, you can go ahead and book the longer time frame that you don't need. Then you call in and change the reservation to cancel the dates that you don't really need. I told someone else about this on DDP board and they let me know that this worked for them with their res at the Poly.

When can you go? I booked for the first week of Sept (9/3-9/9) at CSR last Friday, my friend booked CR for 9/3-9/6 yesterday. I added more ADRs last Friday as well, and got Crystal Palace at 5:00 one night and Ohana at about 9 AM the day we leave. The first week looks to be the one with the most availability all the way around. When I was pricing our trip, I could have booked CR, Poly, GF, PO (both), FW cabins - I think almost anything! I booked a bunch of ADRs in the past 10 days (CP breakfast at 8:10 a.m., Boma, Artist Point, Chef Mickey's, etc.). You won't get Le Cellier (if anybody's canceling a 9/12 dinner, let me know) but you can still get pretty good ADRs.

I'm tempted to try this, but I'm afraid that when I call to modify the reservations, they will say I can't do it and then I'm completely out of luck. Airfare is purchased already.

It's very annoying. I'm trying to spend more money and the hotel is available during my timeframe, but no.

Someone else on the boards told me that they had no problem dropping days on their res at the Poly with free dining; prior to that they were unable to even book free dining. I have also read many other threads where people have reported that this worked for them with no problems so I don't think that you need to be nervous.

I know the pkg states it's for 5 nights so maybe that is what is causing you trouble? I'm not sure if you just want four nights or you want to add four nights? If you want to add the four nights then I would do as the other have said, book longer and then cancel the days you don't want. I did that last yr, in fact I mentioned it to the CM and she was very helpful.



BTW I have had no problems getting any of my ADR's this week. I am going to a couple of places that require 2, but I'm still getting what I want!

I just want four nights. Actually, the FD deal was for a minimum of three nights, so I'm good. As I mentioned earlier, I have the Free Dining booked at POP Century for four nights. I want to switch to a mod and can't do it. The only way it will let me book a moderate with Free Dining is if I book the package for eight nights. Everyone is telling me to book the package for eight nights and then call back and change the check out date. I'm a little nervous doing that.
