***Ok - don't bother - I figured this one out already (Stupid moment!)

I wouldn't mind getting a D300 if DH really has to upgrade his camera, now would I? Should I argue with him about an upgrade for me (again) or just shut up and let him buy me the D300? :yay: How stupid can I get? Thanks anyway. :flower3: ****

Hi guys and gals,

DH asked me to ask you folks for your advice so here goes. DH and shot our first wedding yesterday (it went well, I'll post on that later) but DH really found out the limitations of his D60 during the shoot.

He's been bugging me all day today about which DSLR he should upgrade to. I have the D90 and am very happy with it so I don't want to upgrade.

So his question is, which one should he go to? The D5000 is out of the picture, so he's debating between either a D90 like mine or something better than mine.

Any advice for him?

Thanks!

Well, what were the limiting factors? I say go with the one that covers them.

I agree ukcatfan- speed and lack of multiple focus areas were two of the areas that got him frustrated. The other one was that the speed light he had for a flash wasn't working properly with the camera.

But I was being stupid and completely forgot about the D300. Duh....

As you said the answer is simple. If you want DX the D300 and if you want FX and can swing it the D700.
