I've made a convert out of DH! :cool1: During the planning of our first trip as a family in 2002, he was less than thrilled about going - I kept telling him it was like nothing he'd ever experienced before. (I had wanted for us to go years earlier when the kids were younger, but some family medical circumstances and some needed home improvements made this impossible - long story.) His preference was to go to the Grand Canyon. Nothing against the GC, but the kids & I said - it's WDW now and later the GC. Majority rules! Well, needless to say, we still have not made it to the GC - last year we returned to WDW for the land/sea package, and now we are planning another return visit for July 2006 to celebrate younger DS's HS graduation. Then tonight he was telling me about his co-worker & wife who will be leaving in a few weeks to go to WDW and is staying at the GF for their 25th anniv. Then he tells me - "That's what we should do for our 25th (in 2 yrs)- WDW would be a great place to celebrate it!" I couldn't believe my ears!!! :Pinkbounc

Yeah! :cool1: It's great when you're not the only WDW crazy person in the house, lol!

Same story here. I tried for YEARS to get DH to go to WDW. I wanted to go there for our honeymoon in '97 - he didn't want to go. I finally just made plans in Sept 2001 and we went... and the rest is history! He's worse than me now, lol! Just look at my signature :cool1:

Yes - he doesn't roll his eyes as much anymore with all my pre-trip planning, and now actually asks me where I'm making the PS, and makes suggestions - even remembers the names of the restaurants!! He agrees with me that when we are there as a family, it is magical in that you just forget the "real world" and concentrate on each other. Our teen DSs feel that way, too, which is nice, as their future wives won't have to fight the battle I did! (The wives had better be WDW fanatics or at least willing to become one!!)

So I see you bought into DVC at SSR. We went to the presentation last April when we were there (it was still being done at the BWV then), and are still seriously thinking about it. DH is excited about it (who would have thought??!!), but our older DS started college last fall, and we were nervous about putting money out for everything at once. This trip we want to check out OKW and BCV, as we plan to buy resale.
