Don't forget your "Fidelio in training"-- Michael can play the piano with you all right???

You all are making his head swell.......sounds like we have ourselves an irish band......now hurry up and make those ressies for Nov. 6 so we won't be all alone.

He actually said he would probably take a break from the practicing for a few days and just enjoy the ship but he does want to bring the pipes for the talent show. (and he thought he wouldn't like a disney cruise........we're going to convert him yet.....he's just mad cause i'm making him go during hunting season....that's just one little deer saved by the cruise.) :p

Why do bagpipers walk when they play?

So they can get away from the sound!:)
Frankly, being a musician, if I heard someone playing the bagpipes on my cruise I would be irrritated. After 5 minutes it all sounds the same.
Now if you want to hear bagpipes you need to catch "Off Kilter" at the Canada stage in Epcot. That band rocks.

It seems to me that the clubs on board were empty during the day. Perhaps he could call DCL to ask if he could practice in one of the clubs during the day. I don't think this would inconvenience anyone. It's worth a try.

Count me in as another Celtic music lover. I'll have to check out the site.

And I've played violin for over 20 years! Sounds like we have ourselves a band!!! :)

Rob-He would never play if he thought it would be offensive or disturbing to anyone. Like I said earlier...he'll probably take a break for those few days and just play at the talent show. You should check out the website.......the music his band plays is similar to that of OFFKILTER.....it rocks!! The band has played at several Scottish Highland Games just as OffKilter has. We did go see OFFKILTER several times and really enjoyed what they do.

Lisa--Now when you email my dh back really play up the disney cruise and tell him how much fun he's going to have!;)

Thanks for all the replies to my post everyone.

Wish he was on my cruise. I love bagpipe music! Loud and beautiful!
If he's good no one should mind him practicing.

I plan on having a bagpiper play "Amazing Grace" when I kick off!

I checked the 3 day navigators on barb's site and didn't see a talent show. Do they do it on the 3 day?

Only the 7 nighter and rehearsal for it is Thursday 2PM with the show on Friday at 7:45PM. NOT TO BE MISSED!!!!

Thanks...enjoyed visiting the website. If you don't mind me saying so ~ good looking hubbie you have there ;). Oh, how I would love to hear him play! One of the places we toured for DH retirement trip was Scotland. Spent an evening @ Jamie's in Edinburgh for dinner, singing, dancers, bagpipers, Ceremony of the Haggis. Was one of the most fun times our lives!! Hope you have a wonderful cruise. I think the cruisers are in for a real treat!!

If we could only get them to serve Haggis at the midnight buffet....

4nana: yes he is quite a little HOTTIE isn't he? I have to beat the women off with a stick

Not only is he a cutie he's also the sweetest thing you'll ever meet and a great dad too! I think I'll keep him!:D

If you like bagpipe music then the next time you go to Epcot check out Off Kilter at the Canadian outdoor theater. I have their albums and they are great.
