We haven't sailed since they instituted free soda on deck 9. What sodas are available? Do they have Diet Coke as well as regular Coke?

Depends on which diet Coke you want. They have the regular Diet Coke but not the Splenda diet Coke.

they had classic coke, diet coke, sprite, diet sprite, Hi C fruit punch, water. The hi c drink changes flavors from time to time. The diet sprite was off to the side on another dispensor. The main dispensors didnt have the diet sprite, I don't know why.
We have also seen lemonade too, but it is not diet. i wish they had a sugar free drink such as lemonade, or fruit punch too. Sometimes you want something besides pop, and still no sugar.

That's good because he hates the one with Splenda. I usually drink the iced tea because I don't think that has any sugar in it.

GAH! No Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper?? :scared: ;) Ah well, DH will just have to live four five days without. At least I can cure my addiction to Diet Coke with Lime by just...squeezing a lime into it. We're really roughin' it now! :rotfl:

There's no reason you can't take some onboard. ;)

They had Nestea, which I guess is technically iced tea, though it didn't taste anywhere near as good as fresh brewed.

INSTANT Iced Tea?? The HORROR. :earseek: Y'know, Florida is waaaay too much in the south for that to be a safe move on DCL's part. I'm surprised there hasn't already been a protest demonstration at Port Canavaral :rotfl: Now I can live with bringing my own soda, but I'm gonna have to figure out how to brew some of my own tea while on board. Think room service will just bring me a carafe of boiling water? ;)

bring your own tea if you want. At the drink station they have hot water and tea bags, several flavors. But you will have hot water available 24 hours a day to brew your own. I do it all the time.

They keep paper cups and coffee cups at the beverage station. The paper cups are the little ones that come with the kids meals at the parks. The sodas with kids meals that were served at Whitewater Snacks at the pool at the Grand Californian came in the exact paper cups that were on the ship.

I saw many people with their own soda mugs and their own cups for soda (the old soda mugs are sold for $3). DH purchased the beer mug for $9.99 but several times he used the mug at the beverage station for soda. I put in my trip report that DH should have brought along a plastic cup from 7-11. We saw one person in Parrot Key on embarcation day that had a HUGE gallon-sized mug from Circle K.
