OK, my DH is not a big Disney fan at all!!!! We went in June this year, and he did not want to go anyway, and then ended up with a throat infection while we were there and ended up going to a care clinic, getting medicine, and spending lots of time in the room! Disney REALLY put a bad taste in his mouth after all this(even though it was not Disney's fault). So, one of his friends from work just got back from a Disney cruise and told my DH all about it. I thought a cruise would be fun too, but the Disney cruises do cost quite a bit more than other cruise lines. We even watched the Disney cruise video last night, and my DH got through the entire thing with me! After looking into it, we can spend 5 days at Disney for less money than a 3 day cruise. I was just going to take my DS 9 and 6 to Disney for fall break next year by myself since I figured my husband would not want to go. I showed him pictures of POR on the internet, and he said if we could stay there he would go along! COOL!!! So, he agreed to go and I get to stay at a moderate resort!!! How fun is that? I just need to book it now, but am trying to decide if we want to do the dining plan or not! Didn't mean to make this so long, just wanted to give everyone hope out there in case they have a spouse or significant other who hates Disney!!! I have been working on him for months, and think he has taken the turn..... :cheer2: :cheer2:

We loved the dining plan! For a family of five one child under 3 we paid around 758.00. My husband kept all our reciepts and added up what we spent and for all of our snacks, lunches, and dinners we spent close to 1200.00. So it was a bargin. We ate at some great palces and we got to have 4 great character dinners. So we give it an A++ and will ust it on our next trip to Disney which will hopefully be October 2007! :wizard:

That is wonderful! Disney really brings out the kid in all of us. I'm sure your husband will be glad he changed his mind about it all as soon as he has a fun trip in the Fall. :-) I have no advice about the dining plan, though.
