DH custom orders everything - any rests not forgiving?

I had to laugh at the extra extra sour cream comment because my fiance is the same way. We ate at the Concourse Steakhouse last night and he asked for extra extra sour cream for his baked potato and the server brought him 4 ramekins full of sour cream! It was the first time he'd actually been given enough and didn't have to ask for more. I think the restaurants are very accomodating as long as the request isn't unreasonable. I have never had any problems with substitutions. I think if they have it they will do their best to give you what you want.

My husband teases me.....so you're having some potato on your sour cream?

I always think of "When Harry Met Sally" and how Meg Ryan orders at restaurants. I want x, but leave off x and could you substitute x and add x.

Makes me also think about Erin Brokowich (sp?) when they go to a diner and one of her kids orders a "cheeseburger without the cheese and without the beread"

i've noticed disney getting less flexible with substitutions

we went to tokyo dining a few weeks ago...got a combo meal
it comes with a seaweed salad, pile of green and a pile of black
asked for just the green, nope no changes
ah ok

ordered a roll add avocado, nope no changes
thought it was odd, asked is your sushi freshly made, why yes
then why cant we add anything, ugh
