DH actually likes the Beverly.

We swung into Club Cool last week and DH tried the Beverly and actually liked it. I assumed he was pulling my leg but no, he is trying to find a way to buy it. I have no idea why he likes it, I think it is disgusting, but he does.

Does anyone know if we could buy Beverly anywhere?

I think any place with Masochism theme would carry it.

If you are really interested in that, in my opinion a good substitute is Fernet Branca. Tastes as bad but should be available at a liquor store. It has minimal if any alcohol in it.

I tasted it first, and while I didn't love it, I know immediately that both DH and DS would love it. And they did. DS's favorite condiment is mustard, as an example of his tastebuds.

From what I have read it *was* a product in Italy, but it's not made anymore for any place other than WDW (and maybe for the Coke museum in Atlanta).

I wanted to try Moxie for a long time and saw it at a Fresh Market and had to buy t,in my opinion it doesn't really taste like Beverly but more like a mix of Ironbeer(a Latin soda that has a flat taste to it)and root beer,ughh!!I'm good not trying it again,but it was better than Beverly.Of the current flavors at Club cool the ones I like are the Thailand melon one(the best one in my opinion),the Greek pineapple fanta,the non carbonated Japan Vegi beta and the Brazilian Guarana and Peruvian Inca cola are not bad.The two African flavors,Bibo and Sparletta are just way too sweet,but still better than Beverly.

Beverly tastes very much like an Italian after dinner drink called Campari.
It is often mixed with soda water.

Hmm....I haven't had tonic water in years cause I hate it. But I do really like the Beverly. Maybe my tastes have changed. I'm going to try some tonic later.

Beverly tastes like grapefruit flavored tonic water. Moxie is flavored with gentian root and is quite different. I like the former but not the latter.

People who only like super sweet beverages need to get their palates refined. I think Home Depot sells tools for that purpose.

He was searching the internet last night trying to find it and found some drink made by San Pellegrino and he was all excited because he has access to a liquor distributor who carries San Pellegrino so he is going to get in tough with all his distributors until he exhausts all options to find someone to get it from.

I don't know know why he likes it so much but whatever. There are worse things he could try so hard to track down.

I tend to think Beverly was marketed as a mixing soda not intended to drink straight up. Try mixing Beverly with a little Kinley Lemon.

My husband loves Beverly too and he also loves Campari which is the worst thing I have ever had the misfortune of drinking.

I like it too. Tastes maybe like Fresca? Definitely has a grapefruit flavor and I love grapefruit beer and grapefruit (the fruit itself).
