My DH turns 60 this November. There's a chance we'll be at DW on his birthday--just the 2 of us. We've been before....we'll be again. If things work out, we'll have another trip in Feb. for our 20th Valentines Day together and then in September 2011 for my 50th.

So....any thoughts on where/what to do?
Something different each time?
Or should we start a "tradition"

If so where?

Congrats to your DH! My Dad will be turning 60 a month after our trip this autumn and we'll be having his "birthday" dinner at Yachtsman Steakhouse with a birthday cake (not sure what theme yet) and I'm planning to have one of our EPCOT days as his pretend birthday and we'll be doing the F&W festival and a concert and maybe a beer tasting too!
I'd definitely recommend doing a signiture meal and what about a backstage tour??
Happy planning :)

DH and I celebrated his 62nd at WDW last November. We just pretty much did whatever we felt like doing, no kids or grandkids this trip, just us two. We relaxed, ate when and what we wanted to, spent lots of time in the hot tub at POFQ. We really didn't do any out of the ordinary but it was lovely not having to consider anyone else this one time. So easy to get out in the morning in time for rope drop too! One night, we were at Epcot and decided to get snacks in Norway and bring them back to the resort, we got some drinks and sat outside the main building listening to the music. Cool also because last year they were giving the gift cards for your birthday, he managed to spend most of it on candy all over Epcot. Even though he's certainly not a kid anymore, he really enjoyed having people tell him to have a happy birthday and a few CMs even sang to him.

For one of the events (depending on the weather), why not a carriage ride at Port Orleans? Looks like it could be very romantic.

For a very special Birthday Dinner go to Victoria and Albert's.

Interested in the replies. We are going next week and celebrating DH's birthday (even though his birthday isn't until July 1st). He definitely wants to squeeze in something romantic.

I second this! We had a gourmet 7 or so course dinner, with the menu personalized with your name and event. It is a very small restaurant with no kids under 10 allowed. Men are required to be in Jackets. It is excellent for a very special occasion, but be prepared for the bill. It is EXPENSIVE!!! We went the 2nd night of our honeymoon and spent more for us two, than we spent for 16 for lunch at WCC the day before.

Actually V&A is very reasonably priced for a 5 star restaurant; I've never eaten at any others as cheaply as we dine here. We try to dine at V&A each time we are at WDW. It's very good and definitely can be a romantic dinner.

I had dinner at the Poly's Luau on my 50th birthday. It was fantastic!

If you go there make sure he goes up on stage when they ask for all of the birthday people etc. He'll get to dance with everyone. It's a lot of fun!
