We have stayed at DCG theme park view two times and loved looking at the park. We are paying "extra" for that view. We arrive early September, is the view still great or is it of construction? I don't mind if there is some construction, but I don't want to pay extra for a view of 40%-or-more of construction in progress. I would think they would have mentioned that at booking if the view is very impacted, otherwise they will be switching alot of rooms and decreasing charges already quoted. Thanks!

If we switched to Downtown Disney view I would be fine as well, but I booked in Feb for a good price (theme park view) and don't want to change it if possible. DH loves looking at GCA park.

The view looks out over the rapids ride and Soarin' area. So the construction will not be a problem.

Our view looked out over the Rapids and over the trees you could see the Mickey Wheel and the Maliboomer.

I imagine at one time, the view from our room was pretty cool but the vegetation has grown up and made it a little less desirable.

We could see right in to the park, though; to the area outside the Rapids. We could hear park noise and music which we LOVED!

Our next dream is to stay at the Disneyland Hotel at DLP; it looks in to the Magic Kingdom!!!!!
