So just let me know.

I'm looking at Thansgiving week so I'm sure that is part of it. I'll keep looking for a non-stop hopefully AA will get some competition at those gates before too long.

I've rarely paid more than $200 and have paid as little as $111 but I don't expect that kind of a deal. Under $200 for a non-stop with the times I want I'll probably book.

Southwest doesn't ticket from Love to Orlando, complements of the Wright law so they aren't an option even with stops. Only way to do it is buy 2 tickets and I've never found that to be a better deal over the other airlines.

For 4 out of the last 5 years I have gotten airfare from DFW to MCO RT NS for less than $200.00 around Thanksgiving.
Now last Nov I saw it down to $170.00 for the same dang flight that I ended up costing me about $218.00 pp as I hesitated too long and they went up and never went down.
I love Delta and I am completely bummed about being stuck w/ AA.

AA used to be great flying on free tickets and miles. Now they are a nightmare. Recently tried to book a flight on miles for early May -- all we could get was a redeye on a nonpreferred date.
Was still able to get $246 each roundtrip from California (through DFW), which is a pretty good fare. Can't believe it costs as much or more to originate at DFW. I feel for you.

I just booked my family using AA miles, and it is a trick to get to ever use them. I tried the last 2 years, but never could. The catch is I had to book 331 days out to get the tickets to Orlando. Of course I am going during prime season, Thanksgiving, and to the Hot Spot, Orlando. Could not get a Sunday flight back, so having to leave Sat. Night, But will take that for 4 tickets. I have looked and from OKC through DFW the tickets are running 453.00 per person.

AA is becoming very hard to work with.

We went first class to Europe on miles in November. We were taking our DS who is under 2 so free. They wanted us to pay $1500 for him to sit on my lap (would not even get miles for it)! Because when flying internationally they require a "lap child" ticket to be 10% of the cost of the adult's seat.

The actual cost of our seats were free, but since to book them they are $15,000, they wanted us to shill out $1,500 for DS to sit on my lap!

It was cheaper to book DS a straight coach ticket & have him sit on my lap.

Many phone calls, arguments, and discussion with the E Platnum desk, and we finally found a solution AA & we were happy with. But it took a LONG time.

Now that they are the only major carrier using DFW as a real hub, it is only harder to work with them.

I just bought tix on Delta for April.... are they going out of business?????

No they are not going out of business. They have reduced flights out of DFW.

I wonder when Delta is planning to tell the websites they are pulling out of DFW? Are they not going to have service AT ALL, or have they just relinquished a lot of their gates? Because I am finding all kinds of flights for my dates of Oct. 7-15, 2005. The flights go Dallas-Atlanta-Orlando, Orlando-Atlanta-Dallas for $193 per person round trip. I would rather pay $210 per person round trip and fly non-stop on American! But that's just me.

When we went to WDW last week DS and I had tickets that we won from a charity event. I did find that booking was a little tricky - had to juggle my dates and we had to come home at the crack of dawn. As far as the actual redemption that was no problem - I just called the number, booked the flights, printed our boarding passes and that was it! I understand that those vouchers were different than redeeming miles or whatever. AA donated those tickets directly to the charity so there was nothing to mail in - just had to give them the serial number from the voucher.

Maybe I should think about getting our airline tickets now! On the other hand, I have the offers on the Disney site that are good through Feb 20 so maybe we will wait a little longer. Especially since I am not absolutely certain about our travel dates. Buying the tickets and changing them would cost more than the price would go up, I think!
