I keep getting emails saying that my rooms are ready to book, our contract is finished, our planner is selected, etc. But when I call to confirm or make resort reservations they tell me I have to wait another 2-3 days for things to "process" has this happened to anyone else?
 
yes. That is the one frustrating thing in the whole process. It's hurry up and wait. Everything seems to take two weeks to do. Even with the planner. Mine is very nice, but it can take a week for her to respond to my emails, even when asking about booking an event. It's a little anxiety provoking because my wedding is a little over 3 months away and I want to make sure I get a room or a place booked and can make plans. I found I just need to keep sending emails to her or her assistant and eventually they get back to you.

AHHH!!!! I know exactly how you feel! My only, yet biggest complaint, is the communication. I don't understand why it takes so long to respond. I had been emailing my florist for a month before I ever got a response. Its frustrating and as you said anxiety provoking. My wedding is a little over four months away and they want deposits yet I can't get answers on anything. At this point the only for sure thing I know (even after my planning session) is where I am having the wedding and reception and what time. I know in the DFTW planning world that is loads of time to make decisions and have everything ready but I want my questions answered. Sorry for the vent... :grouphug:
 
I could never get hold of Rosie (floral) but when she did call she was wonderful and took a lot of time discussing things with me. I believe they've all just got so many clients it's hard for them to get back to everyone.

It is frustrating ladies, but rest assured your big day will be perfect. :goodvibes:
