DFTW iPod system

We used it at our reception at Narcoossee's. I had originally wanted a pianist, but when we changed our location, we couldn't use a pianist. There was nothing else that we really wanted, so we decided to go with the iPod - plus it was cheaper. I think that it suited our purposes, but the quality really wasn't very good. We could barely hear the words of our father/daughter & mother/son dance. This could have been just because of some configuration on the system, but I wasn't very impressed with how it sounded. It might not be like this at every location either. But we probably should have just brought iPod speakers and done it ourselves.

The set up, if you will, is simply a jack tgat plugs into your iPod. Our volume seemed off, but when I went and looked at it AND CLICKED THE JACK IN ALL THE WAY, it was great. It can play music without being100% connected. Once I jammed it in there, all was well! :thumbsup2

We used one at the Attic and the sound was great. We had one speaker inside and one outside. Of course, we were mostly just using it for background music and speeches, but first dances too.

It's a pro setup with mixer, amp and speakers. It's not like they just hand you a boombox or something. But the sound quality varies by location just due to the configuration of the room, how many hard surfaces and parallel walls there are, etc.

Well that's interesting... What did the other end of the cord plug into?
