My Df and I are planning a Dec 2008 wedding and were wondering when we could speak to the Disney Florist. We have a trip planned to Orlando in Jan 2008 and were hoping to squeeze in a visit to actual see some samples and get an idea of floral choices without breaking the bank. Do we have to wait till the 8 month mark to talk to the floral designer?

I have been told I cant do anything to my floral till my planning session! I asked for some sort of pricing structure but my planner said i would have to wait cos there are so many options! Hopefully you might have better luck than me

You can call them and try...but to be honest, I have never really heard anyone complain about Disney floral (except every now and then, and then it's cost related). Some Wishes/Custom brides have used outside floral (can't think of the vendors right now) with no complaints but the restrictions on that is much more severe than say with a photographer/videographer.

Rosie Carabba (? I think thats how it's spelled) was our floral coordinator and OMG! She was AWESOME!!!

One thing you can do is collect pictures of the flowers and floral arrangements you like and send them to your coordinator. When you are able, you can talk to her and let her know your thoughts. They are very good at working with you and getting the colors and budget right for you. I think this is truly one area where you shouldn't have to stress too much!

i'm using them and all i do is send her pics of stuff that i want. their original estimate was very high, but i had another meeting with her over the phone today and she'll be sending me a new budget this afternoon. i'm working with laura who is great!

We had Rose dizon and she was fantastic... but we were not able to meet with her until our planning session which was 6 months before the wedding.

i had laura kidd. she was so woundefful. i also could not meet with her untill my planning session which was 5 months out. but i have to say i used my time untill then to create a scrapbook of all sorts of pics of jewls, flowers, colors, ideas, etc. when i got there i felt alot more at ease and it was very easy for them to give me there ideas.
dont worry about the budget they will work with you. my planner would tell me straight out if it was in ou out of the range. also they can tweak designs and sizes to make them less expensive
