DeVine

I always look for DeVine at AK but have never seen her. Is there someone I can ask when I am at AK? I would love to see her.

You can ask any cm. If they do not know then they can radio and find out her sched for the day. I have often found her on the walkway leading from Asia to Africa.

I finally found her last year when I was there and she "walks" between Africa and Asia along that path. When I was there this is where I found her. As you head toward the safari from the Tree of Life there are some musicians on your right and next to them is a CM gate...that's where she came out. I asked what her schedule was in the high end collectible store on your right as you are coming into the park and almost to the Tree of Life. She was worth the effort to find last year. It was so funny too when I was standing there watching her this man walked by and said "oh great, now my kid's gonna be afraid of a tree!" He wasn't having a good day!!

If you stand right in front of that gate she won't come out. I could see her leaves underneath and she wouldn't come out until I moved away a bit.

We saw her for the first time last Summer. I'd always wanted to see her but never ran into her. We ran into her each time we were in AK this past trip. We would see her when we were going through Asia (after doing Dinasaur), we would pass EE(under construction at the time) and then walk from Asia into Africa going towards Kilamajaro Safari.

Guest Relations or a CM will be able to tell you when and where to find her. She is definately worth seeking out. Very Very cool!

We "encountered" DeVine on the way to Africa last Christmas week, after missing her previously. She is amazing -- DH had no idea who and what she was and DD started out cautious but ended up fascinated.

You have to look carefully to find her, she was actually wound around something when we first walked by. And then she unwound and began to "walk" - really something to see!
