Developer points?

We signed our dvc papers a few weeks ago. When can we actually book a dvc reservation with the developer points at SSR..?? On my dvcmember page it says i dont any points yet.

Developer points don't show up in your account because the points don't belong to you they belong to DVD. Call MS.

You should be able to book right now. Just call MS and make the ressie.

The very first time I spoke to our guide on the phone, before even signing anything she told us to decide when we wanted to use our dev points! I just called her this morning to book. We closed today! Yippeee!

You can actually book with Developer points before you close. The points don't show on your account, nor does the reservation. You will receive a confirmation number at time of booking, and in about 10 days you will receive a confirmation by mail.

My guide said mine would never show up on my page and they didn't, though I still made a ressie with them, though no confirmation #

I know i can only stay in Saratoga if i go to Orlando but i can stay at the 350 resorts throughout the country too right???

Developer Points can be used EITHER AT SSR, 3 Disneyland Resorts, or through Interval International....At SSR, and the 3 Disneyland Resorts, Developer Points must be used within 1 yr of date of contract..

Interesting through Interval, as long as a "search" is initiated within 1 yr from date of contract, developer points can be used an "extra yr"...Another words, if the contract was dated Aug. 15th, in theory if a search didn't come up for 2009 and a search was initiated by Aug.15h, 2009 and a match came up on the search for 2010, you can use your developer points up to Aug. 15th2010...

yeah i should have done that too.. we are going to book somthing down on Cape Cod or Maine... I would love to go to Saratoga Springs next year but the costs of flights are soooo expensive for April which is when I can go...

If i remember correctly, you have to use the developer points within 1 year, and you can make your reservations at the 7 month window.

Developer points cannot be transferred (since they aren't really yours) correct? But they can be used to make a reservation for someone else, correct?
