Developer Point Question

My wife and I are brand new DVC members and have been given 160 developer points to be used at Saratoga with our AKV point purchase. We are wondering if we can rent these points to someone since we really don't intend to return to WDW for at least a year. Our guide has totally confused us. He definitely said we could rent them out when we met at the DVC offices but today on the phone he said we could not rent them out. Any help is appreciated.

You should be able to use the developer points to make a reservation and then you can rent the reservation.

I don't think you can transfer the developer points to another member. Maybe someone else can confirm that for youl.
