Detroit--off airport parking?

Has anyone used off-airport parking at DTW airport?

Can someone recommend one that is inexpensive and safe?

I don't know of any that are inexpensive. We have used the park and fly behind the ramada, this was a package hotel and parking. we have also used the park and fly just down the road from the marriott, this was also a package with the marriott. both time's included 8 days parking 1 night stay and were under $100.00. Both times were in december. Both had 24hr attendants on site and included a drop off and pick up to either your hotel or the airport. Susan

We won't be needing a hotel so not sure if that would work for us.

We just need long term parking and it's expensive at the airport.

Qwik park on Merriman is a great place to park. Rates are $7.50 per day. Go to qwikpark.com and you can print a coupon for one day free parking. We have used qwikpark at least fifty times and never had any problems. The shuttle picks you up at your car and the driver will help with luggage. I highly reccomend qwikpark. Our favorite is Airlines Parking on Merriman, across from the Crown Plaza. They offer price matching with other lots rates, AAA Discounts, and Auto Workers discounts. With one of the discounts, there rates are $6 per day.

We also use Quik Park on Merriman (at recommendation of someone on boards). Never wait for a shuttle at either end and they offer a AAA discount.
