Any body ever try these things. I saw an infomercial last night. I'm supposed to slap these things on my feet and night and in the morning all the toxins are out of my body?

Any body give them a try? Do they work?

it's a scam
your body detoxes itself through your liver. Not your feet

John Stossel on 20/20 tested these and -surprise!-they were a scam. If you google it I think you can find the video. :)

Whenever a purported "healthcare" product is advertised that it will "remove toxins" from your body, you can be about 99% sure that it's bogus.

Pretty much common sense, huh.
Its amazing the things people will believe and or buy.
The only thing more absurd is folks getting "an enema" to clean out "stuff in your colon thats been there for years"
Sorry folks, your colon is actually pretty clean.
Just ask any Gastroenterologist.

Yeah, if you really want to "clean it out" - kill two birds with one stone and just go ahead and get a colonoscopy while you're at it.

Thats EXACTLY why i said what i did!
I got a Colonoscopy in 06. After the "go lightly" and the scope, i talked to the Physician about this very subject. He stated, " You just got the best clean out known to man!" You colon NEVER needs a "cleaning" unless you need a diagnostic test done.
good point..Galahad.

Go Lightly...that's a misnomer if I ever saw one. There was nothing LIGHT about my going (and going and going and going...)

It was a massive disappointment to me when I weighed myself the day before adn the day after my colonoscopy prep. I was SURE that at least 20 pounds or so were going to be accounted for -sadly, a maximum of 2 1/2 pounds, and that included a day of not eating anything other than a couple of popsicles. Dang...

I have an elderly relative who was just absolutely convinced that she was full of it. I think she was just not "as productive" as she thought she should be so she was just sure that she had all of this "stuff" backed up in her. It was hard not to break out laughing while she was describing it to the doctor.

Even after a colonoscopy she was not really "sure" that it had all been cleaned out.

Hey, that was the next informercial. :lmao: Seriously, this stuff that claims it can clean out all the "paste the lines your colons walls"

Man, I had to do that whole cleansing thing before my colonoscopy and I swear I could shoot through a screen door without touching a wire! :scared:
My husband read that book Home Remedies They Don't Want You To Know About by Treudeau...total quack! He suggested in the book that you shouldn't wear deoderant and you should give yourself weekly enamas! So basically you get to have the pleasure of having water up your tush while smelling like a pile of poo! No Thanks!popcorn::

One of my friends was suckered by that infomercial and bought the colon cleanse stuff. It was right about the time that I had my colonoscopy, and I told her just buy the laxative I had to drink. She told me that what I did wasn't a thorough enough cleanse. Riiiiight. :rotfl: The "goop" that comes out when one uses the scam colon cleansing stuff is from psyllium husks.

Yeah, right. I'm sorry...but when it is coming out looking exactly the same as it went in...there's nothing left to cleanse.
