Sorry Lynn CC! I got caught up in other things and completely forgot about the trip report.

We didn't do too much while we were there and it was only for a brief time, but we had fun.

We stayed at the Cape Point in Yarmouth. We'd stayed there before and thought it was a decent hotel. We arrived Friday evening (about 6:00 or so) and ate a quick dinner at Polcari's in the Cape Cod Mall (I know it's a chain, but DH likes how the wait staff dresses like gangsters). We played a quick round of mini golf at Pirate's Cove that night (I lost  ).

On Saturday, we hung out by the hotel pool for most of the morning and afternoon. We had reservations for the Chatham Seal Cruise at 4:00 and went to Hearth 'n Kettle (DH wanted a burger) for lunch. The seal cruise was nice as far as boat rides go, but it was freezing (being late in the afternoon) and we didn't really get to see a lot of seals. I don't think I'd do it again. For dinner, we went to Hyannis and ate at Sweetwater's. It was okay - I wasn't feeling very adventurous as far as food went so we stuck with something relatively safe. Afterward, we walked around the shops and bought a few CDs at Spinnaker.

We left on Sunday after breakfast (we ate at Ann & Fran's both days - it was directly across the street from our hotel...VERY good waffles!) and stopped at the Wrentham Village Outlets on our way home.

It was a nice, relaxing time. Which was just what we needed.

We have a house on the Cape. We love it. Isn't the food at Hearth and Kettle A.K.A (H & K) yummy and cheap for what you get!! Glad you had a great time.

Sounds like you had a wonderful time. If you ever end up going back to Cape Cod, you might try a place we found called The Moonakis Cafe for breakfast. It is located in East Falmouth on Route 28. They had a wide variety of omelets and yummy pancakes. We just happened upon the place the first morning that we were on Cape Cod and ended up eatting breakfast a second time during our stay.

Thanks for the suggestion, maybe we'll try Moonakis Cafe next time. I have a relative with a house in Harwich so we've gone to the Cape at least once a year for the past 3 or 4 years. This time we just decided to have some alone time.

I can't stand being cold either, so that would have ruined my cruise. You always take a change on how many seals or whales your going to see on those type of outings.
DS loves H & K's Turkey Clubs!
Did you see the Host at Polcari's......he really looks like a "gangsta".
Thanks for the report!!

Thanks for the report!

Does anyone else know of anyplace near the Bourne bridge that's nice & takes kids? It should be clean & have cozy, comfie beds :) But, that's about it... we have a karate tournament near the Bridge in early September, so I have to decide where we should stay... the only room at the Best Western at the Bridge is 200.00 for the night (for a Best Western?)

TIA!
