Sorry Lynn CC! I got caught up in other things and completely forgot about the trip report.
We didn't do too much while we were there and it was only for a brief time, but we had fun.
We stayed at the Cape Point in Yarmouth. We'd stayed there before and thought it was a decent hotel. We arrived Friday evening (about 6:00 or so) and ate a quick dinner at Polcari's in the Cape Cod Mall (I know it's a chain, but DH likes how the wait staff dresses like gangsters). We played a quick round of mini golf at Pirate's Cove that night (I lost
).
On Saturday, we hung out by the hotel pool for most of the morning and afternoon. We had reservations for the Chatham Seal Cruise at 4:00 and went to Hearth 'n Kettle (DH wanted a burger) for lunch. The seal cruise was nice as far as boat rides go, but it was freezing (being late in the afternoon) and we didn't really get to see a lot of seals. I don't think I'd do it again. For dinner, we went to Hyannis and ate at Sweetwater's. It was okay - I wasn't feeling very adventurous as far as food went so we stuck with something relatively safe. Afterward, we walked around the shops and bought a few CDs at Spinnaker.
We left on Sunday after breakfast (we ate at Ann & Fran's both days - it was directly across the street from our hotel...VERY good waffles!) and stopped at the Wrentham Village Outlets on our way home.
It was a nice, relaxing time. Which was just what we needed.
