Detailed question about Soarin' seating

The OP, Cigar95, doesn't want B at all. He wants the most inner edge seats of A1 or C1. That's why he asked the loading questions to be able to be seated in his most desired location.

Do the seats matter that much? Are there "bad" seats?
Not arguing, just want to know. We'll be there in a few weeks, and we're looking for tips.
B1 is widely considered the "prime seats" because, along with A1 and C1,it is the highest section and additionally it is in the "center.:)

For A2,A3,B2,B3,C2,C3 you will have other Guests' feet dangling in front of you.:)

I would have told you no other than the top row, as WEDWDW said, since no feet dangling. BUT now that I have seen the new movie, the side sections are now not as good due to the warped movie and the sides are very bent. Was quite disappointing.

We went on Soarin on Friday night and had the perfect seating position. We were in Concourse A theater, first row and right smack dab in the middle section of the seats. It was awesome! We brought someone on who had never ridden before and that made it even more fun for them to get the full experience of being in the first row.
Same here on Monday. Asked for B1. Center Front Row. Picture was perfect and NO FEET!!!

Ok, so I will take note of this. It is nice of the cast members to let you wait for the seating you want, if you want to. I know on most of the coasters, I like to sit in the back! I think I will just ask if we can sit in the middle of the row. Maybe we can get B1.

As someone who used to work there, heres how it goes. The three theaters are A, B, and C. Coming up to the split, Theater A is to the left, Theater B is to the right, Theater C is straight ahead.

If you're standing in the Theater looking at the screen, Theater A carriages from left to right are Gate A, Gate B, Gate C.

Theater B and Theater C are set the same way, however opposite from Theater A. Looking at the screens, from left to right, are Gate C, Gate B, Gate A. You can also think of it as the first Gate you encounter, regardless of what Theater you go to, will be Gate A. (Someone said earlier that they are laid out the same to prevent confusion since the CM's move positions so much. However we do move around to every position often, the Theaters are not the exact same. Others, myself included, have definitely walked guests into the Theatre then went the wrong way for a second before realizing which one we're in).

If you are sent to Gate A, Row 1 first, you will be directed all the way down, which will place your seat on the edge of your carriage, right next to the Gate B carriage.

If you are sent to the Gate C, Row 1 and are the first person, you will be sent towards the exit doors, so if you do get Gate C for any Theatre, ask to be last, you'll end up on the last seat, which means you will be right next to Gate B carriage. Hopes this makes sense.

Honestly just wait for B1.

Thanks!

The CMs are always nice when we request B1,but do they ever get "tried" of filling the B1 request?:)

Thank you so much for the explanation. We always just take what we get and usually have been lucky. I'm going to need to memorize this to start avoid being unlucky sometime.

We just request to be on the top row and that is good enough for us. I don't like seeing the hanging feet. LOL

Sometimes it's hard to explain my A1 and C1 requests to the CMs, and why I've wanted to be at the end of the line instead of first. I always hope to avoid confusing someone with an "Earning My Ears" tag. Timmy's explanation jives with my memory of how sometimes we turn left to reach our seats, and sometimes we turn right - the theaters are mirror images of one another, not copies.
But now I think @TimmyBoy has given me the definitive answer to my original question. So let me morph to a related question:
How far off to the side does one have to go before the distortions become an issue? I've seen a picture somewhere of a comically-distorted (minor spoiler alert) Eiffel Tower, but for all I know, that one might have been a PhotoShop job to make a point. If I'm in my favorite seats, I'm right next to the outer edges of B1, so I'm hoping I'll be all right.

Sadly, it wasn't a joke. It is comically distorted when it's at it's worst.
And again sadly, only a few seats have it with no distortion. Pretty much any seat in A or C will have some degree of distortion, from minor to major.
