You must choose one of these resorts to get rid of for good which one and why. Assume the land remains empty.

Bay Lake and Contemporary. Sorry, Contemporary, but you lost due to your ugly duckling sibling. Plus, you feel like an old airport inside. Or just the one I fly out of from Chicago that happens to be less than new.

That's mostly me joking around.

The Contemporary is awesome from far away. It's like a 100 footer for a MLB outfielder. Looks like a lot of fun until you're up close.

But I do love the Mary Blair mosaic and the monorail.

Boardwalk Villas for sure. Location is the only selling point to me. The long hallways and building layout is terrible, food options 👎, the theming and design (especially the tile in those bathrooms) is poor to me. Just take the whole thing down and start fresh with a better planned resort.

All of those are great properties in their own ways and I could never choose one to destroy. I especially love the CR and BLT, but I have had great trips at all of them. The idea that the land would not be redeveloped makes it worse because it would leave big holes very close to the parks. If there are issues, address them. Don’t just throw in the towel and take the easy way out.

As a Boardwalk owner...I resemble that remark!! And also agree with it! 😁

This the accurate and the only real choice.
Great concept terrible execution and it just keeps getting worse.

I wonder if anyone is getting fired for this one.
No, no one is getting fired because they have already been fired and now work at a Chinese buffet in metropolitan Orlando. Latest reports from the Chinese buffet: they aren't doing well there either and the owners are likely to move on from them soon.

Voted BLT/Contemporary - but only in the gun-to-the-head type scenario. I wouldn't want any gone - but if I had to choose, the BLT is my least favorite and they're the least themed-looking, most generic-hotel looking properties. Though given the choice, I'd rather just get rid of BLT and keep Contemporary, because it's an original.

The other leading favorite to destroy here, Boardwalk, would be one I'd chain myself to the front of to keep - it's my home resort for a reason - by far the most convenient, most versatile spot in WDW for me. Can't beat having two theme parks in walking distance, and 9 other resorts within walking or direct-connected transportation (boats, skyliner) access to,

Of course I wouldn't want any gone but interesting thought experiment. I'm actually kinda surprised Boardwalk is almost tied for first to be eliminated! Thought for sure it would be spread out more. I wonder what the numbers would look like if I had thrown WL and Riv into the mix. I kept the outlying parks out on purpose bc that would've been too easy to pick one of them.

Bay lake by a long shot. Least feeling "Disney" DVC to me

Even with a theme park view, you see a parking lot and cars driving. Takes away the immersion

Bay Lake Tower. Gone. No longer a blight on the skyline. A multi-story parking garage would be a better use of the real estate.
You want a blight on the skyline, Gran Destino tower for the win. I never saw BLT as an eyesore even when it was first built.

There doing the same thing with the new Polynesian tower, when there’s no room horizontal then you must go vertical.

I went with BLT and Contemporary but I too would prefer to just demolish BLT. I have stayed there once in 2009 (twice if you count we moved rooms and had a AKV stay in the middle of the trip). We had a 1bdrm std view that wasn't bad and you could see the fireworks but even brand new it felt dated and the colors did not work for me. It was a flashback to the ridiculous colors in the kitchen I had as a kid in the 70's. While I am sure the golden yellow rod fridge from then is still running it was not pretty. Then on our second round we stayed in a studio and it felt so small. Not what I would have wanted for a deluxe level resort. I will say that I believe a lot of BLT issues stemmed from who was in charge when it was built.

I find this to be one of the stranger poll questions out there. I'm much more interested in where and what resorts could be CONstructed near Disney parks. I have zero interested in destroying any resort. Except perhaps the Star Wars shell near Hollywood Studios.....!
