Hi All,

What a wealth of Info here. My vacation to Destin was Canceled due to Dennis. So here we are planning our first trip to Disney World :cool1: I have tons of questions, but I will do some research first. I have booked a one bedroom at The Villas @ Wilderness Lodge. We arrive August 3rd & return on the 10th. So I have that out of the way. What should I do as far as Tickets? On such short notice I wanted to ask what to purchase first. O yea Its me & my Wife & our 2 boys 5 & 8. BTW they have no Idea :jumping1: Well I guess this is a good start. Any feedback would be great!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks !!!!!!

Hi Change, Welcome to the Dis :disrocks: Sorry about your vacation being cancelled, but if the cancellation prize is Disney, then you made out just fine. As far as tickets go you can get discount tickets through either AAA (if you are a member) or there are independent ticket brokers (but be careful), here is one that is suggested through a reputable web site: http://www.mapleleaftickets.com/ and here is the comparison chart to see what prices are for what tickets you may need: http://www.allearsnet.com/pl/ticketchart.htm What a great surprise! I wish I could get my husband to surprise me like that!! Good Luck, the only other thing I can think of is to make your advance reservations for meals. Here is a list of places to eat in the World and their menus:http://www.allearsnet.com/din/dining.htm Have fun!!! :flower: :sunny: :flower:

Welcome to the DIS :wave2:

Your post caught my eye because we love to go to Destin.

We stayed at the Villas at WL last year. My sons were 3 and 5 at the time and they loved it. The pool was fun and they went down the water slide over and over. The hotel is really cool. The Whispering Canyon restaurant is fun and crazy.

Do you know how many days you want to spend in the parks? We usually go during the off season when the parks close early. So on our first day we usually spend time checking out the hotel and then eat at Chef Mickey's and ride the monorail (we don't use our park tickets that day). Have you checked the park hours for your stay? On our last trip we stayed 7 nights and purchased 6 day park hopper passes with the pluses - now they have the Magic Your Way tickets that are a little different.

I'm not sure any of that helped you. I know you'll have a great vacation. I would say to familiarize yourself with what attractions are at each park. The first time we went we missed a lot of attractions because we were so overwhelmed. The parks are big and spread out.

Good luck!! And you might want to post any specific questions on the other boards (theme parks... or resorts or families).

The best prices for WDW prices I have found were through ticketmania.com
And if you plan on going to Sea World the best prices are through AAA
When and how do you plan on telling your family? I'm sure they will be very excited :hyper: when you tell them. :jumping1:

WELCOME to the DIS Board :disrocks:

Pull up a chair anytime and make yourself at home. Lots of friendly and helpful people here
