Desserts at Teppan Edo

We have ADRs for Teppan Edo. I'm looking forward to eating there, but the desserts don't appeal to me much. I know they changed the DDP rules somewhat and are allowing a side salad instead of dessert in some places. Has anyone tried this at Teppan Edo?

We really like the salad with ginger dressing. That said, it sounds yucky, but the green tea cake is really good. I don't know where the green tea comes into it, it's a cake in layers with a rich chocolate frosting.

I think you're remembering the chocolate ginger cake - and I agree it's very yummy. I've also tried the green tea cheesecake and it's also very good.

That salad with ginger dressing sounds like it's right up my alley. The time I ordered an appetizer I had the tempura. Maybe I'll try the salad next time.
