Hello

Going in May, and I've seen some people talking about dessert party's at the MK. Can anyone explain this to me and what the cost is?

Thanks-

You make reservations to eat at a dessert buffet (all you can eat) and watch the fireworks from the tomorrowland terrace. The seats are assigned, so you don't have to worry about being the first to get there. The reservations usually get booked up pretty fast so you have to try to get book for it as soon as reservations become available. I'm not sure what the current price is per person. I think we paid about $40.00 to $60.00 when we went a few years ago. I think the price has gone up.

The price just doubled relatively recently. Other than that, it's something we've always enjoyed. It's not a perfect view of everything but it's nice to sit. You don't get to sit during the actual show though, people usually stand at the rail.

How much of the MSEP can you see from there? Last time it was very little but there were construction walls up.

It is just the tops of the MSEP Floats that are visible. It is not a good view

I've done this several times. The desserts are OK but you get a decent viewing spot for the fireworks and Celebrate the Magic projection show on the castle. The real benefits are - actual seating (although you'll more than likely have to stand up by the rails to get a good view of the fireworks) and elbow room while watching the fireworks.

They've recently added FP+ viewing areas for Wishes which I think offer a better view (minus desserts and seating) but I think the party is generally worth it.

We've done the dessert party (once before the price hike and once after). It's now around $50 for adults and $30 for children. We went in August and for us it is no longer worth the money. We couldn't really see Celebrate the Magic and there were so many people in there that my chair kept hitting the chair of the person sitting behind me. There was no where either of us could go so we just dealt with it, for that kind of money I want to be comfortable at least. We plan on trying the FP+ area this summer and getting some treats before we go in.

HERE is the link of the post in my July trip report about our experience and my review.

We enjoyed it and had a good experience, but you'll see mixed reviews around here just like anything else.

Have fun planning and May will be here before you know it!! :dogdance::dogdance:

Aww, I'm so glad you shared this!! Your boys are adorable and I'm loving all your pics too! What a great review!! :goodvibes

I've done the wishes dessert party every trip and have enjoyed it every time.
This was before the price doubled though. It was $25pp until summer2015.
We have reservations for this summer, wondering if the doubled cost will be
Worth the sparkling cider, character cup cakes, and table clothes...
We shall see.
