I'm going to the tomorrow land terrece fireworks dessert party party:and I want to know what other peoples thoughts on it are.

I know the food quality gets mixed reviews, but we had no trouble finding plenty of good desserts to enjoy. We loved the Dessert Party and thought the experience was worth the money. Great place to watch the fireworks, good food, and an all around good time. Don't eat a big dinner beforehand though. We made that mistake and weren't as hungry as we would have liked to be.

We went last June and had a great time. The desserts WILL run out, so don't skip getting something you might really like, but don't be like some people who take as much as they can carry and then waste it. I loved the pistachio creme brulee, probably my favorites of all the things I ate while at WDW (ok, my mouth just started watering thinking about it!).

We arrived about 45 minutes early. Probably didn't need to wait quite that long, but DON'T be late.

If you are going with little kids (less than 10), don't try to let them carry their own plates. The individual service pieces [like these: http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/Wishes-Dessert-015.JPG] slide around on the plates and we saw two different kids spilled the contents of their plates onto the floor.

And enjoy it! You will have a great time! :cloud9:

We went in May and really enjoyed it
Some of the more popular items run out quickly; one of the CMs tipped us off that the Chocolate Dipped Strawberries are one of the first items to go
Even so, there are more that enough yummy treats to enjoy and we had a great time
If it's your first time experiencing Wishes then I would say go and watch them from Main Street for a better view of the fireworks but if, as with us, you have seen Wishes many times before then it's a great place to get loaded on sugar with the Fireworks as a nice backdrop :thumbsup2

It was nice but I wouldn't spend the money to do it again.

I went the first week it was offered and they had not worked out the kinks yet.

some of the things I did not like.
1) seats were squeezed together. every time some one got up I either got a face full of backside :rotfl: or I had to lean to the side to let them squeeze by. eventually us and 4 other tables did some "rearranging"

2) kept the lights on, on the upper level. really killed the mood. I love how main street dims all the lights.

3) could not see the spectromagic parade.

All in all it cost 80 dollars for my family and we really did not eat that many desserts to justify the cost. We are just as happy getting one of those huge toll house ice cream sandwiches and watching wishes facing the castle.

This is where we used to watch the fireworks before they started the dessert party. It was a good place to watch, especially as you could sit on chairs, and if it was drizzly or light raining, it was covered. Now that they have the dessert party, I will have to find a new place when I go this September as I don't think I would eat enough desserts (and if I could, would get sick lol), to justify the cost.

And besides, it is our tradition to get an ice cream cone on Main Street after the fireworks are over.

We went this April and loved it! Eat a light dinner. We loved having our own table to sit and enjoy the fireworks without getting pushed and stepped on. (It's very crowded when we go.)

We went this past January on my son's 12th birthday. It was great because it was his birthday and I didn't have to mess with having to try and arrange a birthday cake for him. My daughter is going to be at Disney with my sister in law for her birthday in October and I'm totally bummed that I can't get reservations for them while they're there.
We are going back in January nest year and will be there on his birthday again and am hoping they are still doing it. We all loved the experience. Most of the desserts were excellent.
As a PP said, don't eat a big dinner. There are 4 of us, we got 2 quick service meals and split them a couple hours before the party so that we would have room for the desserts. I think that worked out well. While not cheap, I think it's definitely worth the money. Would go back in a heart beat. Would probably even do it more than once in a trip. Have a great time!

We loved it! The view was awesome and the desserts were yummy. It was our first time seeing the fireworks in front of the castle so it was pretty special. But I'd definitely go back if I could!

We could see some of the tops of the electrical parade floats. Like this:

Food was good, goes fast. We have done it twice and that was enough. We will skip it for awhile but Really nice if you have not done it.

We are trying it for the first time on 8/21. We have a late lunch booked at LTT then we won't be eating dinner. Just the dessert party for us! Can't wait!!

nothing ran out when we were there last week... a nice cast member was even offering us some after the fireworks were over....

Same with here, we booked 8/21 as well with a late lunch at Whispering Canyon. See you there. :)

We just did it in June. Overall I will say the experience was a good one and we enjoyed it. The desserts were yummy but not great in my opinion. It seems to be hit or miss when reading about the food being replenished. At our seating when desserts ran low on any of the buffet stands they were replaced. Maybe not as quickly as some would like, but definately with enough time for everyone to be able to enjoy more goodies if they wanted to.

Our problem seemed to be the beverage station, twice it ran out of milk and some guests were not too pleased how long it too for it to be refilled. I will say that it did seem to take longer than it should but overall it wasn't really that big of a deal.

We arrived about 20 minutes early, due to the fact it was raining and we were seeking shelter. Although there is no need to be among the first in line (we were about 7th or 8th) it does mean you will be among the first to get to the buffet. Which for us simply translated to less people at the time we were getting our desserts.

I would agree also with eating very light before, we skipped dinner. I wouldn't say this is something we need to do everytime. I could probably skip it next time around. However we did enjoy and would like to do it again sometime.

Did this last May and loved it. Eat a small dinner and kick back and relax. I probably would not do it again b/c of the price and the fact that they run out of food but it was awesome to try it once!

Have a magical night!

:thumbsup2 We did this in April, and thought it was well worth the money. They had plenty of desserts and they where really good. But nothing can beat the view. Tink flew right over our heads! We loved that we had a great view of the fireworks, and didn't have to deal with the thousands of people on Main St. We stayed for a while after too. They still had desserts and drinks out, so we relaxed and waited for the crowds to thin out a bit before trying to leave. A must do when we go back!!:goodvibes

I am dying to try the party. I really, really want to go and to love it. However...how do you all deal with the fact that in order to see the fireworks you need to get up out of your seat, get away from your table and everyone crowds against the wall to see? What about tall guys, are the separated from their families?

I thought when it first came out that you could sit and watch them. This is not what I am reading on the boards at all.

What was your experience with watching Wishes and seeing them from the party?
