Dessert Party

Has anyone been to the Dessert Party since they changed the pricing and seating? I am curious about the seating changes.

I have reservations, however I am undecided about keeping them. I am concerned about seating. When I made my reservation, I was told it was "standing only." I know before they changed the pricing there was reserved seating. I am hoping that the CM didn't know what she was talking about and that there will be seating available, even if it is not reserved. I think it would be a little difficult to balance a plate, drink, and utensils without a place to put things down.

i was told that it depends where you book your DP. I heard that morocco doesn't offer seating, just tables. When I booked at UK lochside I was asked what color I want the chairs and tables to be.

I was talking about the Magic Kindgom Wishes Dessert Party.

When we went there was definitely seating to eat, it's just standing only over by the railing once the fireworks start - you can't drag chairs over to the edge. Is that what you're talking about?

When did you go? Was it after the changes took place? I hope so!

i had read somewhere on here that someone had tickets to this event,but when i called and made reservations the cm told me no tickets jsut give them your confirmation number and to be there at 7pm , and they will seat you then,is that what you were told too?

That was what I was told when I made my ADR too. They took my Credit card number and just said to arrive with confirm # at 7pm. I can't wait...wishes & dessert!! Yeehaa...

They took my CC# and gave me and ADR#. I was told that there would be no tables and chairs, standing only. I was also told that the max capacity is 60. I just can't believe that they would offer this with no tables and chairs. That is why I have not cancelled yet. I am hoping that the CM was incorrect. I called back and got the same song and dance from another CM, which is why I am trying to find someone who had been recently. I would love the do this party, but I can STAND on Main Street with my desserts from the bakery and/or confectionery alot cheaper.

I really hope there are table and chairs.

We did the dessert party on 9/30 and everyone had an assigned table. When you check in they tell you what section you are in which you then tell your seater. Your seater then takes you to that section and helps you find the table that has your name on it. There was no one without a table when we were there.

We did the Wishes Dessert Party on 9.16

It was most likely a fluke but it wasn't busy at all, maybe 30 people, almost everyone had a terrace table or close to it.

We had a great time, the desserts were delicious and the fireworks were fantastic.

My kids will be glad to hear that I am going to keep the reservation. They were so excited about the thought of doing the dessert party, I wonder why?!?!
