I was wondering what everyone thought of them. I am very undecided. I will be having 17 guests and would like to do something special. For any of you who had one, do you think it was worth it?
And does anyone have an estimated cost?
Thanks

I don't have my cost handy for the dessert party but I think it was somewhere around $1500.

It was WELL worth the money in my opinion! I would do it again in a heartbeat! All of our guests absolutely loved it. In fact they all kept saying it was the best wedding they had ever been to. Even the guys said that and we didn't serve any alcohol!
For me the dessert party was the best time of my wedding day. I was finally relaxed and able to enjoy my guests. Along with with dark chocolate fondue!
I love Illuminations and now I'm dying to do a Fantasmic dessert party just for the heck of it!

I think our dessert party was around $4k for 36 guests.

My guests were absolutely blown away by the dessert party. I looked at it as our way of saying thank you to those who made the trip. We even toasted our guests with champange. The neat thing was that we personalized what we had for food to our favorites and everyone picked up on it.

I was an amazing way to end the night and it's the one thing everyone always talks about.

Tooooooooootally worth it, so much fun!!!!!! Our fantasmic dessert party was somewhere around $1,400 for 48 people. I think dessert parties are one of the (many) things that set disney weddings apart, where else can you view fireworks (or fantasmic!) as a part of your wedding celebration? You won't regret doing it! :wizard:

We just got all our final numbers for the wedding so here is the dessert party breakdown:

1 Venue Package Morrocco Terrace @ $250.00 $266.25
13 Old World Classics in Miniature desserts @ $24.50 person $407.04
1 Outdoor set-up fee at $75 each $ 79.88
1 small party service fee @ $50 $ 53.25
Event Total $806.42

Our event is for 13 people. I think you need 20 or more to get rid of the $50 small party service fee. Our guests will all be going to epcot that day and have park passes, otherwise you will need to pay a $12.50 per person viewing fee for all guests without park passes. If you want transportation provided for the guests, a bus can be rented for around $400.

The outdoor party set-up fee can also be eliminated, but I requested a few tables and chairs be set up for us, so that is where that charge comes in. To cut costs back further, you could also go with the cheaper 'Kid in you" menu choice.

Hope this helps!

Hiya I spoke to disney the other week. They gave me a quote with a disney photgrapher: $1173.50 plus service tax. That was for 15 us at Morroco for Illuminations.
After seeing everyones gorgeous photos from their dessert parties, this is a must for me!

We are having one....I say go for it! The DP is a once and a lifetime experience! GL with your planning!
