Dessert Party + Outside Photographer?

Hi everyone,

So, we have decided to have our wedding off-property. (gasp) I never thought I would be OK with it, but I am actually quite excited. I always wanted the traditional wedding with a private reception, but we just couldn't afford the custom wedding. Anyways, we are still planning to have the Illuminations dessert as our rehearsal dinner. I was just wondering if our photographer would be allowed to take pictures. They are a sweet couple from Illinois and they will be invited regardless. I would really like some photos though...any input??? Thanks!

Congrats!!! You'll be happy no matter what , after all you're getting married!!!! One of the brides on here was just married a couple of weeks ago. She was an intimate and had disney do the ceremony photography but had randy do the illuminations shots. If she could use him for a party seperate of her wedding I don't see why you couldn't do the same for a dessert party.

I am thinking that I read some where (maybe the contract) that photographers must be registered with Disney and pay like 90 dollars or so. I am not sure where I read that but...you may just check with someone and are they professionals you may be able to slip it by

If I'm understanding you right, the photographers are friends of yours? That makes them party guest who are just taking photos for you. I wouldn't think there would be a problem with that. People take pictures all over the parks. You could ask the catering manager to be sure.
