Dessert party locations

I'm planning a 60-80 person wedding for September next year at WDW, only thing is both me and my partner live in Australia.. so planning has been somewhat tedious to say the least.

We want to have a dessert party and I've been doing my best to research what information I can find as well as images so we can decide where to have it. I have the PassPorter's guide and although it's been great for many things, it hasn't been a huge help on where would be best for a dessert party that size.

I really want to hear some opinions on where would be best to have a fantastic view of the fireworks and the best as far as privacy and seating arrangement is concerned. There is really only so much our wedding consultant can tell us about each site, I think in the end it comes down to personal opinions from people that have seen them in person.

I don't think there's much for seating. I think most people just stand since it's only an hour. They do bring in tables. My personal favorites for a group that size are the French islands terrace des fleurs or eau de France but not rue de Paris. Italy isola west plaza is also good. Your group is a bit too big for the uk sites, although uk lochside does go up to 70.

Having been to numerous dessert parties and viewed IllumiNations from just about every spot on the lake, I would say that Italy is your best combination of view, capacity and privacy.

We are getting married in February and are expecting 60-80 people as well. We were told Italy isn't large enough and will be in France for our Sunday night dessert party.
