What are the different dessert party locations and what are they like? Also, is there anything similar to a Dessert Party at any of the other parks? Also, would I have to hire a photographer for this or could a family member (who is a photographer do it?) Lots of questions I know, but you all seem to have the scoop on everything around here!! :disrocks:

I will try to help. I am not having an illuminations dessert party so I don't know all of the countries but you can have one in UK upper, lower, Morocco, Italy......and others I can't think of right now. The amount of guests helps determine which locations you can use. You are not allowed to have a dessert party in the MK so if you wanted to watch Wishes you can have a party at the GF marina patio or Sago Cay, I think it is called also at the GF.

Yep, it depends upon if you have a Wishes or Escape and then again how many people..for instance with Escape Weddings I think the choices are France and Morocco and if you have more than I think it's 10 people or so, you would have it at Morocco (Where I'll be having it hopefully!):cool1:

Anyway, and you can have a photographer there..we have booked Randy for our wedding, a bit of the reception and then into the Dessert Party..

Another thing with the Dessert Party (and I assume it's the same for both Wishes and Escape brides) is that if you want to wear your wedding dress, you need to charter a special bus and come in the "back way"....

Hope that was of some help to you...:)

I think also, that sometimes they let you walk in the back entrance if your wedding was on the boardwalk, as long as of course you have a saber light holding person/CM meet you. Your WP sets it all up, just like any other dessert party, but it's just noted that you're arriving by foot. This was my proposal and my WP said yes it could be done for Boardwalk brides. I don't know if this applies to all brides or just boardwalk ones... :confused3

WOW!! That's great news...I will have to ask my planner (when I finally hear from her!)...

I am hoping I will hear from somebody this week coming..as they received my signed contract on the like the 27th of May or so...

I am planning on having my dinner reception at Jiko, so I don't know if I can finagle the on foot arrival..but that would be neat! I'm already thinking I will have to buy an extra dress to wear to the Dessert Party! (Not that buying another dress would be that awful or anything!) :rotfl2: I thought I'd get something short and not so much wedding dressy, but something that would leave people thinking..."is she a bride?" I'm sure you guys know what I'm thinking visually etc..

Thanks for the info!! :)

we had one in Morocco and a ton in Japan. we love them both, but Morocco your right on the water and no one is in front of you its great place to take pictures and video.

Also, I wanted to add that as an Escape Bride I was offered the French "leg"... I have pics that my WP sent me if you'd like a look see. It's a funny name, but a beautiful spot, you're on your own little island, across a bride... it's pretty cool looking. PM your email if you'd like to see...

I have about 40 people and we were offered French Island Upper or Lower. I initially asked for Italy Isola but it was booked. If you go into the Disney wedding site you can see pictures of some of the areas under the reception locations. The pictures aren't great but they give you an idea.

I know what you mean about waiting. I haven't recieved my contract yet and the waiting is awful. Hang in there!

Thanks girls for all the great info!!! I'm going to go a little off topic, but does anyone one know when the last possible time is that you can give dis how many are coming to your escape and whether or not you are have BMs. :furious: My sister, basically sucks and may or may not be there, despite the fact she is my only sister and basically my only friend. :furious:
Also, my somewhat estranged father suddenly has the aching desire to be in my life :confused3 (i.e. at my dis wedding), but i have to trust him to show, because i do not want to spend another important day in my life (ie. the most important) upset because, once again he said he would come and doesn't!!! What to do?!?!? Any ways back to my off topicness, can i let dis know how many the day before the wedding? thanks!!

I think a final guest count is due 72 hours before your wedding date.

Try not to stress too much (I have to tell myself that all the time too). This is your day, so don't let others ruin it for you...stay happy and positive!
