Hello everyone! :wave2: I would like to know who has done a DP! What exactly is included and how much it is? My soon to be, Mother in law & I can't seem to find much info on what we get for our money. And info would be greatly appreciated! :thumbsup2

I'm also thinking of a Dessert Party for the Wishes fireworks. Are there any other venues that cater a DP for these fireworks?
Or can you actually see the fireworks from the Swan&Dolphin beach as I am thinking of having our wedding there...

Great info in the posted link.

One correction though.. you can now book Wishes Dessert Party at 180 days (180+10 for resort guests). Important to know since only about 170 tickets are sold and go fast!!

Yep, definitely bookable at 180 (+10 for onsite) now! :)

Do you pay at time of booking or is it just a hold with credit card like dining reservations?

Just so you know, that link was for the dessert party that is open to the public. It gets good reviews, but it is not private and gets pretty crowded. Is that what you are looking for?

There are also a variety of dessert parties that you can book privately-that's what many DFTW and Swan brides book as additional events for their wedding. You can have those at Epcot or on a boat (for Illuminations), GF or on a boat (for Wishes), and DHS (for Fantasmic).

If you are looking for info on those, you might find info here:

(no space between magical kingdoms-for some reason it never posts correctly)

I am not sure how updated that website is, but you can find other info online if you google it. Hope this helps :)

Not really, you can probably see a bit of illuminations.

Most dessert parties run from 30 minutes before the fireworks to 30 minutes after. You pay a food and beverage minimum and, at some locations, a venue fee. If it's inside a park, you also pay a $12.95 viewing fee for anyone who doesn't have park admission. You can pay for backstage transportation or just have guests meet a guide at the gate and walk in (certain locations in Epcot require backstage transportation). At non-park locations, you may wish to have the fireworks soundtrack piped in, which starts at around $500.

Prices vary by location—where were you thinking of having the party?

Thank you everyone for their feedback! I'm not quite sure where we would have it. Just know it would be in Epcot for Illuminations. I absolutely LOVE their fireworks. ❤️

We had our Illuminations DP at the UK pavilion - you can find the menu we used, prices and some pics in my TR linked in my signature. We were so happy we did it, as it was the perfect way to end the day for us...plus we got some GREAT pictures!

We customized our menu, and our planner (Amy Riendeau) was so amazing about it. She was extremely helpful in making the decisions from location to menu.

We had Wishes Dessert Party for our wedding as a welcome party at the Marina at the Grand Floridian. You can't see the Wishes fireworks from the Swan & Dolphin (you'd be closer to seeing Epcot Illuminations fireworks there).

You can set up private DP for Wishes though at the resorts near the MK, which could include either Sago Cay or the Marina at the GF (it depends on how many people you have), or at the Contemporary Hotel, or if you have just a few guests you could rent out a boat on the Seven Seas Lagoon and watch Wishes from there.

We personally loved our Wishes DP and it was appropriate for us because we also got engaged during Wishes on one of the boats (and also because our DP was on a Saturday during Food & Wine festival when they don't allow Illuminations DPs).
