Dessert party in October?

So we typically travel to Disney world late February early March but this year will be traveling with friends who wanted to go in October (22nd - 28th). While we are there there are only 2 nights that there won't be a MNSSHP the 24th(Saturday) and the 26th(Monday). We plan on doing one day at Universal and they have Halloween horror nights all but the 26th so that will be our Universal day. Do they typically have the HEA dessert party in October on non-party nights? I am sure that MK will be a mob scene for HEA because of the limited nights. We have done the garden view before and my kids loved it and I feel like the party would be totally worth it if offered.

I know during Xmas party season we do the HEA garden party on a non party night because the park is packed and it’s the least stressful way to see the show. I’m assuming the same during Halloween season. Well spend the day elsewhere and hop there in the evening for the dessert party. We spend most of our time at MK on party days because the crowds are much lower.
