My fiancé and I are trying to plan our dessert party menu and are getting a bit overwhelmed by the possibilities. We don't have a huge budget, but I was wondering what everyone else chose and if they liked what they chose or not in the end.
This wasn't for a wedding, but we followed the same policy and menu options. This was from October 2011, in Norway for 23 people (three under 2).
Nachos and salsa
Fruit salad
Assorted cookies
Brownies (with purple Mickey head)
Pecan tarts
Chocolate bottomed cheesecake (with Mickey sprinkles)
Raspberry lintzers
Chocolate cake
water, tea, coffee and a variety of milks
The fruit salad and nachos were the hottest items, then the cookies and milk. The raspberry lintzers were left at the end of the evening as well as some of the brownies, probably because the cheesecake had a brownie bottom. The cake was overkill (but better than the brownies!) and we were able to box that up and take home with us.
Not sure how this compares to the current menu though.
