Can anyone post pictures your dessert party decor? I have absolutely no idea on how I want to decorate for mine. Any ideas would be appreciated! Thanks!

I don't have a picture right off but I used silver mint julep cups with hydgrangeas and then used the clear cylinders that I wrapped with vellumn and then had lights in them. You could also use the cylinder with gel and the lights. I have seen the multicolored gels and that was great. You don't need to go overboard with decor or with the fancy chairs. People are not going to notice it and it is going to be in the dark. Just use the banquet tableclothes that they use and see what you can bring over from your reception or what you can do to add a little something to it without spending alot of money.

We did a Figment theme for our DP since we didn't have kids at the reception or ceremony; we wanted to make it a little more fun. We used the white linens which are included and paid to have the colored napkins under the glow cylinders. The napkins were only $1 each and added quite a bit to our theme. The giant Figment was put out by Disney Floral at no additional cost to us.

The only other decorated items we had were printed napkins with Figment on them.

I didn't do any decorating. I figured people wouldn't be looking at it anyway. But I've seen some beautiful set ups! I was just cheap! :rotfl:

Ooh, where did you find Figment napkins??? :yay:

I had to order them directly from Disney Floral. I think Impressions does them too, but I didn't want to work with them. My floral manager took care of it for me. These were a last minute addition that were a little expensive, but I'm so glad we got them.

We paid $100 for 150 Figment napkins. In comparison, I paid $35 for 250 Mickey and Minnie napkins for my at-home reception that I ordered from Invitations by Dawn.

How much were your cylinders with figment in them?

They were $20 each; $15 for the actual decorations inside and $5 rental for the cylinders. We had ten of them, so the total was $200. We were allowed to take the Figments from inside the cylinders too. I have some funny pictures of my mom and her best friend digging out a couple of the Figments from the gel, so I could have some to keep. A couple people grabbed the light up ice cubes too which were used to create the glow.

We spent a total of $310 for the dessert party. Here is the breakdown:
$10 for the 10 colored napkins for the table
$100 for the napkins
$150 for the Figment cylinders
$50 for the rentals

:figment: Thanks so much!! I think I'm going to do a figment themed dessert party as a surprise for my DF. Figment is his favorite and frankly he hasn't got much say in anything else for the wedding so I think this will be a nice surprise for him!!:figment:

Thank you! Thats really reasonable, and figment goes perfectly with a purple theme! Besides, everyone needs a little figment in their wedding day! :figment:
