Hi
We are visiting Disney from the Uk for the first time. Our first day is 26 December and I was super excited as I managed to book a fireworks desert party for this day.

However I have now seen that it is Minnie’s Christmas Fireworks and not Enchantment on that day. Are these fireworks as good? Is a good view less important for these as it’s Christmas themed?

I can only really afford one dessert party so not sure whether I should try and get it for NYE or the next week for Enchantment instead?

We have 3 children and it will be difficult to get them to wait for a long length of time so without the party we will probably be watching from relatively far back

Any views would be appreciated

Thanks

Nobody has seen this show yet as it doesn't start until next week but I'd venture to guess it would be similar to the Christmas time fireworks of year's past for the parties.

I'm probably the wrong person to reply to this but outside of musical score differences and projection changes, the fireworks shows are all the same to me. I just don't have the bandwidth to get that into them. They're all great shows and all entertaining but I'm sure some shows appeal more to others. We've done the after fireworks dessert parties before and they're great for a reserved view of the show and that's what you pay for imo. I've never payed attention to which show and have always thought the projections, music and timing of the fireworks is really good. The last party we did in 2019 when they had it was a Christmas themed show and we loved it. The snacks/desserts/drinks are nothing to write home about but it's a fun experience and my whole family enjoyed it. We try to do a dessert party every few years. I really liked not having the rush out of the park after the show which is a lot more low key and relaxing. I think you could likely poll the board after 11/8 when the show goes live to get real time feedback and that might be more helpful. I'm sure there will be a youtuber that will post a full video of the show so you can watch but watching fireworks on video can be super boring and is never the same as seeing them in person. For us, it's less about the actual show and just the ability to not have to camp out for a great view of the show and the relaxing experience.

I will assume that all three fireworks will be the same as before. For me, I like the Christmas Fireworks a lot more than Enchantment and I would keep this one if I have to choose. However, Enchantment utilizes the castle projection much more than the other two fireworks, and the music/projections used may be more appealing to young children as they come from Disney's movies. But if you plan to be in the Magic Kingdom on NYE and watch the fireworks, I would definitely try and get the party for NYE instead. Mainly because it will be very crowded in the hub, and having a reserved spot for the fireworks will be much nicer experience for you and the children.

Which dessert party did you book? If it's Treats and Seats, you won't have a great view regardless of which fireworks you will see - the terrace obstructs the view slightly and it is off to the side of the castle. If view is most important, pick the party with garden area viewing.

If I had to choose, I agree with PP - I would try for a NYE party if available. The crowds will be beyond massive that night. My second choice would be the Christmas fireworks - again, crowds the week between Christmas and NYE will be massive (just a personal opinion, I actually prefer Minnie's Christmas fireworks over Enchantment, but they are both great shows). If you will be able to see Enchantment after January 1, I would skip the dessert party then as, while it will still be crowded, it will be nothing like the crowds during Christmas to NYE week - as you noted in your post, I would stay toward the back and not venture too far into the Hub - while the view won't be stellar, it's better than being in a crushing crowd of people, IMHO, and you will have a head start toward the exit once the show ends. If you do the dessert party, I highly recommend staying put for a bit after the show ends to allow the crowd to dissipate a bit - it is a mad crush down Main St. after these shows end.

Thanks everyone.
I can book NYE fireworks from tomorrow morning so will have a look and see if there is any availability left. We will watch the early show anyway as the kids won’t last till midnight!

Otherwise I think I will leave it as it is as it will be a nice treat for the first night and we will still be in Christmas mode at that point! We are there until 4 January so can catch Enchantment after New Year.

Its the pre fireworks party we have booked x

We were discussing this on another thread

I confirmed with a CM that on 12/30 and New Years Eve there are 2 showing of Fantasy. Dec 23-29 Minnie’s Christmastime will replace Enchantment (see park calendar)

The pre fireworks for 12/31 midnight show haven’t been released. In your case I would book the NYE fireworks. The day midnight bookings open up you will see availability for the 1st show dessert parties,
