Dessert Party and Wedding Cake?

Those of you that had a later ceremony and a dessert party, did you have the wedding cake at your reception or dessert party? We will be going straight from my reception to the dessert party and I am undecided as to what I want to do. I am leaning towards having it at the reception, but then I have to pay for more desserts a the dessert party and that just seems like so much sweets! If you had the wedding cake at your dessert party, did you serve anything else with it?

IF we do a LSS reception then we are planning to do a dessert party with the cake and perhaps have like a chocolate fountain or something to go with it - if thats even an option. I am kind of curious too...

we had our cake at the reception and went straight to the dessert party. No one seemed to complain that there were too many desserts

No chocolate fountains outdoors, it's a health risk. You can have one indoors though.
