Hi everyone!

I'm hoping someone will have either had an escape DP or an annivesary DP and can answer this for me, or who's had an engagement with photos in the parks...

First, I'm not an official disney bride, we're doing a half disney/half discovery cove vow renewal. I originally was thinking we'd do a fireworks cruise (wishes) in the evening... but I just got a black dress for the evening, and it sorta opened up my mind to more ideas. And just now at breakfast I realized I don't have a wedding gown in the evening anymore.... so I could do something IN the parks if we wished....

So here's my options:
1. Wishes fireworks cruise, bringing our photographer
2. Illuminations fireworks cruise, bringing our photographer
3. Something in the parks (ie, dessert party, or a dinner) and hiring a disney photographer.
4. Spending the most money, and doing options 1 or 2, and then doing a disney honeymoon or bridal shoot at epcot.
5. maybe you all have an idea here I'm missing! :)

I was thinking about the idea of a dessert party (lurkyloo I know did one recently for her anniversary)- and I wonder if you hire a disney photographer to come with, can you take pictures in the areas around you (like, if we were in Japan, could we then go over and take pics in Italy, etc.)? Anyone know? How long do you have them for?

Anyway, I was thinking some of you might have experience with disney photographers at the castle as well (from engagements maybe?)- which would be another option, to have dinner there together... and if they took any pics of you at other locations in the park. How long did you actually get to use the photographer?

Thank you for any help!! :goodvibes

I can't answer all of your questions but last I heard you can not bring in your own photographer for a DP, you must use a Disney photographer (I could be wrong). Sorry that I'm not much help...

Yah, that's what I meant :), Sorry for any confusion! :)... I'd not be bringing my own photographer in the park, but are the disney photographers any good at the DPs or dinners or whatever- in terms of how much time you get, and will they take pictures around, or is it very limited to just where you eat and a short period of time? I'm kinda confused on the photography options. I know there are the photopass people, and then the people you can schedule for honeymoon/bridal/engagement portraits... but I'm not sure how it works for events?

Thanks so much!

Just a little update, I did contact Disney Photography just now, so hopefully they will give me an answer to this, and I'll be sure to post it when I find out!

They were quick! I've got an answer for you all- desert party photography is for one hour. They pretty much stay in the private area, and don't take pictures around or nearby.

So, that settled that for me!

I also wanted to add that I was told again very clearly non disney brides CAN have an epcot bridal shoot (or honeymoon shoot), but she said epcot or any disney resort (so not the other parks). HTH's for those of you who are interested in that! :thumbsup2
