Dessert Parties

Looking to plan a special night for my husband and need your advice, please.

Which dessert party do you like best and why?

Last week we did the Star Wars Dessert party at DHS and the Illuminations Dessert Party at Epcot. For a romantic event, I would say I liked the Illuminations one better. They serve champagne, it is in a romantic spot by the water and I thought the desserts were better. However, I thought the Star Wars Show was amazing and the spot you get to view it from with the Dessert Party is well worth it. But for a romantic evening with the hubby, I would recommend Illuminations.

Just a heads up that the Illuminations dessert party is currently taking place on select nights. It will change to every night at some point.

We've done all three and enjoyed wishes the most till the assigned seating was removed. Now the favorite is the SW.

Yes, we did the Wishes party with Plaza garden viewing in December and really enjoyed it! You start at Tomorrowland Terrace for the dessert buffet and then before Wishes starts, they escort the group with Plaza viewing to that area. The view is fantastic and there are no crowds. If you do this, I suggest going to the back of the viewing area by the back rail as you have more of a chance of no one standing directly in front of you.

Anyone done wishes garden view? Wondering what is different than terrace view.

The difference is you pay $20 more to have a table and seat with the Terrace View. Garden View does not have seating aside from the railing. Since I'm using a during my upcoming trip, I decided to do the Garden View.

Does anyone know if they do the wishes (or whatever the new name is) or Illumiations dessert parties on July 3 & 4? Been checking for reservations but Wishes is greyed out 3 &4 and has been from the day July 2 went blue and also July 5. Thanks.

I asked them about it yesterday when I was booking the Caring For Giants tour for our trip and the lady I spoke to went out of her way to try and find out for me but she just told me that there was nothing on the calendar for it and they didn't know what they were doing with it this year and to just keep checking back.
