Dessert Buffet and Wishes

Just booked 9 nights at Pop with Dining (fingers crossed for free dining ). I asked the CM about the Wishes Dessert party and she thinks it will be announced again in early spring. Hope so!! I am all about the dessert. Has anyone else heard the same?

Got a mail from IPO and they will take care of it for us as soon it comes available.

Does anyone know what date is ended last year? when does it run until.

Just called tonight. It is now listed in the system but still not able to book. CM thought she heard would be available in spring to book for SUMMER. Will keep trying though....

Disney started offering this again last Thursday for dates through the end of May. We just booked it today for a night during the Memorial Day weekend, CM implied bookings were already filling up. At $23.42 a head for anyone over 10 it's not cheap, but looks pretty impressive (shot of some of desserts below), in terms of the size of the buffet they put up. We did a somewhat similar thing out in Disneyland years ago (the reserved balcony seating for Fantasmic) but the food offerings there didn't even come close to what this WDW package features.

Obviously a lot including us as you look at the "official list".
Besides you don't pay for the desserts alone. The waiters and kitchen staff has to be payed also. If you look at it that way.$ 23.00 is much to cheap .

I just tried to book for our vacation May 1-6 and was told that it looks like they are not doing it...was the CM wrong or is it just booked up???

I am hoping he was just wrong.

We called Members Services after seeing it posted on another Disney Type Website. It took a long time, but our rep was able to book us for Monday May 24. Reserved it with a credit card.

Rule #1 whenever calling ANY Disney reservation phone # about booking something that is new or has just been announced: if you are told it can't be booked yet, never take that at face value. Say "thank you," hang up and dial again...80-90% of the time you will find out in the second (or worst case scenario third) call that what you were told the first time around is wrong.

In other words, Disney customer service is not quite the vaunted, super tightly oiled machine some make it out to be -particularly when it comes to new things (internal communication on those is almost always erratic; some CMs "get the message," while others don't).

we did it last year and it was one of our favorite parts of the trip. you are paying for the awesome food (no dinner for us that night)...the awesome view for fireworks and the photographer got some amazing shots with the castle all lite up in the background.

I am crossing fingers they do this again for Dec.

we went in October (columbus day weekend) and I think they had just extended it.

We're going in July and naturally I would LOOOOVE to go to the dessert buffet (which i have just learned about in the last five minutes, but suddently it is very important to me!).

Any details further - has anyone booked for the summer?

I booked for 4th of july with no problems on 1st try about a week ago.

We made reservations for July 25th and were told that the dessert buffet would be extended until August 14th. Yay!

I booked for July 2nd this afternoon. Pretty pricey for July 4th holiday, I suppose. It was about $27 each.
