Dessert and Cocktail reception available at DLR?

My mom and I were talking about how the traditional wedding reception in most of the communities she is connected to is just dessert and cocktails, not a full meal. Is it possible to have that in a DLR wedding and it be less per person, or would it be the same amount? I know they have dessert parties in WDW and I really love that idea.

They do offer dessert parties at DLR, but they are not in the parks. The trouble is, you'd still have to meet Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings' food and beverage minimums, which can be difficult when you're not doing a full meal. Even their small Escape package comes with a meal. You could ask about swapping in drinks and desserts, but they only give you two choices of menu with Escape, so I'm not sure how amenable they'd be to changing it up that much.

I'm having an escape wedding at DLR and a cocktail reception is not available. They serve a full dinner at the reception. You can add snacks for guests while the wedding party is getting photos done

Thank you, ladies! I was under the suspicion that was the case, but mom is was insistent to find out. It never hurts to ask. This board has been of great help so far.
