Despite reviews, will you do Stitch?

If you have been to Alien, all this is "Alien Lite." It is just an inexpensive makeover of Alien. It has all the same special effects of Alien. They change the oral/TV presentation and the shape of the creature to match Stitch, but that is really the only change. However, it is not bad, just familiar. It is interesting that the changes actually make everything non-frightening and we saw many smaller kids in it that did not get frightened at all because the creature doing all the same things that Alien did is now the loveable prankster, Stitch, rather than the murderous Alien.

I was on Stitch during the AP Holloween Preview. I did not really like it as there was not much different from Alien Encounter. But I really like the preshow, and yes I will go back again and again just because it is a Disney ride experience.

yes DS13 & I are both doing Stitch - we'll decide for ourselves

I went to the Stitch ride. Its okay, nothing to brag about but not as bad as some people make it out to be either. Really, different people like different things. It is not a must-see or must-ride but it is worth doing. If you miss, you certainly won't lose any sleep over it.

My take on rides whether it has positive reviews or bad reviews; categorize the rides that you feel are most important to you and put the most important at the top of the list. Those are the ones that you want to go to. As the trip goes on, you can go further down the list. If you are like me, you can't get every possible ride or show duing a trip but you come back over and over so that what you miss the one trip, you can pick up the next.

If you are a stitch or sci-fi fan, you might enjoy stich. I think with small children it might be too much but each child is different as I saw some small children being terrified and others who couldn't wait to go back for more.

I will try Stitch to see for myself. It is always interesting to see what the Imagineers do whether it is superb, great, good fair or poor.
I thought SuperStar Limo at DCA was nnot nearly as bad as everyone made it out to be. It was not a great ride but was not horrible.

strange that my entire family has never shown an interest in seeing the stitch movie so there really isnt interest in the attraction. if they somehow change it and make it more exciting then it may very well generate interest for sure

my youngest tends to throw up when she smells bad smells so since we heard there is a nasty smell on the ride, we will skip it. Putting her in there would add to the grossness factor on the ride though lol

no I hated alien encounter and this isn't all that different. Since I don't feel its appropriate for my kids I won't be doing it either.

My son and I can't wait to do Stitch. I take others opinions of rides, hotels, and foods with a grain of salt. There's no way of knowing how you'll feel about something until you try it for yourself.

Most people on the DIS love dole whips. Based on the rave reviews here I just had to have one. I took two spoonfuls then tossed it in the trash. It was just awful.

Many people here hate Sounds Dangerous but I love it(except for the bees) :rotfl:

Of course! Gotta try things at least once!

We plan to try it if the wait isn't bad.

I use ride reviews like I do movie reviews, just because the critics or even my friends don't like it doesn't me I won't like it. (or as I say to my kids about new food try it it might be your new favorite) Trying to atleast go in with an open mind.

Absolutely!! Opinions are just that opinions and I have to experience it to form my own. I do appreciate the reviews since it gives me an idea of what to expect. DS5 loves anything and everything Disney. I don't think he's been on a ride/attraction yet that he won't go on again. We both share the love of being there.

Got to do it at least once, then we'll decide if we want to do it again.

We tried it even though I had read all the negative reviews. Only dd8 hated it. She freaked out. But the rest of us thought it was ok. Ds is the stitch fan so we had to do it. Like other posters we had to try it at least once!

We read the early reviews, but we tried it anyway.

It was nice to get that out of the way early. So I won't ever have to go on it again.

Ted

I loved AE so will def go on this in November! :sunny:
