Does anyone know where I can get a small pre owned boy scout tan short sleeve button up? If anyone on here has one that they are willing to part with please let me know. Thanks.

If you don't have one can you point me in the direction of finding one? Thanks.

It's totally unbelievable, but people actually put those kinds of items up for sale on ebay and craigslist all of the time!

Thanks..I should have added that I have already checked there...I am looking for one fairly cheap since I am using it for a project. The cheapest one on ebay is $15 shipped and that's alot for what I am going to use it for.

Have you tried Goodwill or Salvation Army stores, or other thrift stores in your area?

I second the ida of asking a troop in yoru area. Where we used to live, there were a numbeof poor families. We didn't want Scouting to be out of reach for the poorer kids. So, every time I went to a thrift store, I would casually look for scout stuff and buy it on the cheap. We also took donations of outgrown shirts. It was a pretty good system.

$15 shipped is not a bad price. It may be more than what you want to pay but it would probably be around $4 to ship it, which makes the actual price of the shirt $11. That's cheap. Those shirts are expensive new.

When my son joined Boy Scouts I went to the Boy Scout store and bought one shirt, one belt and one book and it was $55. I think the shirt was $28-$30.

:thumbsup2 , agree with this poster. I had severe sticker shock when shopping for my son's Cub Scout uniform. $15 shipped is the way to go if it's in GUC :)

Adult or youth small? I have two boys in scouts and they are outgrowing uniforms.

See if there's a Freecycle group in your area (go to freecycle.org). You may have to post something to give away first, but then you can put up a Wanted post looking for this shirt. I've given a bunch of Cub Scout stuff away on Freecycle.

I also say to check with the Troops and Packs in your area. Many have used shirts for sale. Webelos (4th and 5th grade Cub Scouts) wear the Boy Scout shirt, so many times they buy a new one when crossing over to Boy Scouts, especially if the Troop and Pack aren't connected.

$15 isn't bad though. I just bought my son a new shirt (saving the old one for the next in line) and spent $35 + tax. Granted, I got the wrinkle free, moisture whatever for him, but still... Those things aren't cheap.

Boy Scout uniforms are crazy expensive. Most troops can get a child in need a uniform but if your project does not involve a child wearing it, I would not ask for that.

I don't know of any packs who would give you a shirt from their donations box. Our donation box is for our pack only and the items are donated BY our pack families FOR our pack families.
