Okay, so I read Nat's post and I'm thinking..."poor Sandy, having to do WDW in a wheelchair" Well guess what? I've been having problems with my foot and I had been to the Dr. It wasn't getting better so I went again today...so they do x-rays finally. Well, it turns out to be a problem with my Achille's tendon! YIKES!!! I'm in a fiberglass splint for at least 2 weeks. NO WALKING ON IT!!! So, I'm going to be headed down to the World with a baby, a 10 year old, DH, and crutches!!! I'll be in the wheelchair, with DH pushing me around. Tara will have to push the baby in the stroller. What a way to have to spend the first trip down to Disney with the baby!!! Well, at least I'm still able to go. I suppose I should be thankful for that. This should prove to be an interesting trip yet!!!

Sue Ellen,
You should look into renting an electric cart. If you go off property to rent one they are much cheaper than the ones at the parks. The companies deliver right to your hotel and pick it up when you leave.
I have seen them with large baskets. Maybe you can get one that the baby seat will fit into. It's worth a try, and will give your husband and daughter a little break too.
I have the name of a company I use when I go to WDW, and they charge me $120 for a week.
And by the way, the off property carts go much faster. You can speed ahead and check out lanyards while the rest of them try and catch up. Peggie

Peggie,
Please, if you will, email me the name of the company!!! That would help out a LOT!!! Wow, they even drop off/pick up for you???? That seems to be the way to go. $120 isn't bad...and to be able to check out those lanyards....well, that is priceless!!! :D

SueEllen, stop over at the disablilities board & you will find lots of info on renting ECVs.

Gee with everyone in wheelchairs & ECVs - may be we can run a Grand Prix down Main St.

Sue Ellen.... We just got here. We head to WDW in the morning. Sorry to hear about your foot. We can have wheel chair races... For Pins!!!

If you rent an ECV from Disney, then you won't be having any races. They are slow & only go so fast. However, they are convenient!
