Desperate Housewives! ***spoilers******

Well, what did any of you DH fans think of the concluding episode then? I will of course still be buying the whole series when it's released on DVD but I must admit I was an eensy weensy bit underwhelmed with the last episode.

I won't say why in case anyone has yet to see it but somehow nothing came as a surprise (when the reverse had been true throughout the series). I felt it was more "tieing up" loose ends rather than it going out with a bang as I'd expected.

Am I the only one that thought this?

I thought this too Karen!
I felt the story had kind of revealed itself along the way - and apart from the incidental storylines like Lynette in the french maids costume(which I almost died laughing at.... ) and Gabrielle's tampered contraception it was in danger of becoming bland!!! Overall I felt it was too drawn out - 23 episodes!! - should have been shorter, like Nip/Tuck!!

I'll still be tuning in for series 2 though for more............

There have been so many howling with laughter (and unexpected moments throughout) that just weren't there on the last show

So do you think Mike gets shot ot not??

Do you think that Mike is thingy's (I can't remember his name, the Dana one) Dad? and that might come out.

What about Lynette going back to work and her marraige

I think the next series will be hard because the secret is out so what next??

Yes, I think Mike is Dana/ Zach's dad.

The more I think about it, I just can't see what the next series will have in store!!! Mary Alice has narrated the entire series 1 - about the reasons why she killed herself, and all the secrets surrounding that. Now that we know all this will she still narrate series 2???

Lynette will no longer be a Depserate Housewife if she is the 'breadwinner', so does that make Tom a depserate househusband??? LOL

I think the mystery next season will surround the mum and son (?!) who we just saw moving in.

I reckon that Mike is Zach's dad. Hope he doesn't shoot him - he's too cute to lose!!

So sad about Rex, I really didn't expect that. But will the creepy George ever get found out?

And it turns out the Paul Young wasn't that evil after all, apart from doing in the awful Mrs Huber!!

I loved the fact that it didn't race along, and thought the last episodes were in keeping with the rest of the series. Can't wait for the next one!!

I am quite entertained at the thought of Gabrielle coping with motherhood

I wonder what secret the new neighbours will be harbouring - there has to be one!!

OMG p- no Desperate Housewives . . . no ER - there really isn't anything to watch on TV now

Hmmm - I "hear" that Mike does get shot . . . but will live to tell the tale. Would he really have shot and buried Paul Young though? Let's face it, poor Susan hasn't been happy yet . . . will she in Series 2.

And as for Grusome George, please get him outta the way soon. What on earth did Bree ever see in him Creepy, creepy.

I erckon Car-los will be out of jail sooner than Gabi thought, just to spice up things with her again. And he's going to be gunning for John after their court room words

My guess is that the new mom and son might not necessarily be mom and son . . . perhaps the police, hmmm, will have to watch with bated breath for it to come back.

I agree that I think Zach is Mikes son and that something odd will happen with the new neighbours. I also think Bree will be accused of something to do with Rex's death, but I think George will be found out in the end. I can't wait to see what Carlos will do after his courtroom episode!
So how long until series 2?

All the different replies...I am soo looking forward to next series, which I believe is to be early next year.

I love this show too. I had suspected Mike would be Zach's dad because that would fit in nicely! I agree there'll be more mischief before George gets caught!! Poor old Rex - but that was sort of inevitable. I love the Gabrielle, Carlos, John storyline!!! Not so interested in the Lynette one but it all makes a really interesting story. Just wish there weren't so many adverts!!!

I've recently read in one of these gossip mags (that my SIL reads - cough, cough) that none of the actors know who will be signed up for the next series - apart from the Desperate Housewives themselves, I guess. I don't even know if they've started filming it yet? So Mike may yet be a goner. Noooooooo!!!

I would also look forward to seeing a Desperate HouseTom, if they do carry on with that idea - rather fond of him too!!

Totally agree about the adverts, Di. But have you noticed how they've changed? At the start of the series they were only really advertising things for women - by the end they were a real mixed bunch!

I'd noticed this too, Becky!!! I must admit I was a bit disappointed with the last episode....the only surprise was Rex dying.
Wednesday nights won't be the same any more.....
