Desperate Housewives and Lost

Hi! I live in England. We get Desperate Housewives and Lost here but much later than you.

When we visited WDW in September we had seen a few episodes of Lost on TV at home but the whole of season one was on DVD for sale in the US so we watched it in our villa at night while DD slept! We also caught the first 2 episodes of season 2 on TV. Fantastic!

The new series of Desperate Housevives started while we were there too so we enjoyed watching that. (We had seen the whole first season at home)

So my question is, we are visiting Florida again at the end of Feb 06. Does anyone know if either of these shows series 2 will be available on DVD by then? I expect Lost will still be running on TV but might Housewives be finished and on sale by then?

Hi Mandy. I would say probably not. Right now it's the holiday season and most of the shows over here are showing reruns of the episodes that they have had on this season. February is a "sweeps" month, which means that they see who is watching which shows the most and then advertisers have to pay more money for an advertisment for the more popular shows. That means they do not show reruns in February, so there will be new shows at this time. I would say the DVD's won't come out until next summer some time. I hope that makes sense to you?

That all makes perfect sense. Thanks. I guess I was just hoping! Anyway, I can wait until they are shown here. We will find plenty to watch on your TV in the evenings- might find some new favourites!
