Its been awhile since I've been on the boards...its good to be back! We are headed to the world 3rd to 4th week of October. We are staying at the Poly (which makes this even more frustrating!) and I can not get a dinner reservation at Ohana...I've tried 7 of the 8 nights we will be there and nothing! Im so disappointed. This is a favorite for us and with our oldest starting colllege I know we won't be back for awhile.

Any tips on how to get a ressie?...there of 4 of us this trip (one little guy; so we can't eat too late) Am I better off calling?...I've just been checking the reservation site online.

You can keep looking or just try one night walking up and asking for standby. We did this for our trip last May. We waited 20 mins. We also went early like around 5 because we have small kids. Sometimes you can't get ADR's but if you are going in an off time, standby isn't always a problem. good luck

We are going 10/21-10/27 and I have been trying to get a ressie too. I have three kids 7,5&2 so I can't take any of the ressies at 930pm for dinner. I'm trying to get in on Sunday which is the day we arrive so I'm debating just going at 415 and standing in line for a non reservation seating. I'm still checking the reservation boards everyday but I'm not having any luck. Hope you are able to find something

Keep trying to find a reservation online and by calling. I was able to get in same day one time when I just kept checking back (although we did have to eat late, a 930 ressie came available). If you do the standby line you have to get there early... like someone else said 415-430. I tried to do standby once and by 515 they were no longer taking standbys, they open at 5pm.

If you're looking for dining reservations, be persistent and it also helps to keep an eye on the 'canceled' ADR threads. Just make sure to take a glance at the first post of the thread for board/thread guidelines on posting about reservations. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1802381
